Cedar Wood
I have just acquired a cps-101 and wish to use as a manual for Grandorgue under Linux. Unlike my Clavinova, the 101 has no function button to select midi as an output although the usual 5 pin midi ports (in, out and thru) are on the rear panel. I have no user manual but I am hoping that access is though a combination of selecting some of the voices or notes on the keyboard. By the way, the keyboard sounds really good and the touch will be ideal for organ emulation. Apologies if I am in the wrong discussion or the post is not relevant as I am new to CMF. pianokeyjoe
google Casio CPS101. I found the manual at archive.org and have it in my hard drive now. Download the PDF file version and check page 14. That gives US, not just you lol!, the info needed for us CPS101 owners to set the midi channels, local control on/off and so on. YES, you have to press a combination of buttons to get those settings set. Not for the faint of heart I will warn you.
Cedar Wood
Thank you pianokeyjoe. I now have the manual, no way could I have hit on the combination required! I have tried it and the Casio sounds like a large church pipe organ though I've not yet put the audio through the Clavinova. The ability to select channels will be very useful when I start to use two Grandorgue manuals, perhaps I should start looking for another CPS101. Chas
@Cedar Wood good to hear that you've managed to get your midi settings sorted, and thanks @pianokeyjoe for pointing you in the right direction. Just in case anyone else is seeking a copy of the the CPS-101 Operation Manual, I've uploaded it to the files section in this forum for easy access:
