Jay C
Hi There is a loose connection in the ‘USB To Host’ connector on my otherwise lovely CT-S1 keyboard, so the computer will not recognize my keyboard or not detect that I have connected it to the computer. This is a problem in my DAW as I can't send MIDI data to and from the keyboard. I've tried squeezing the contacts in the connector and that also helped a bit / for a short time. But the problem continues to occur. Can I replace the connector myself - is that advisable? or should it be done by an authorized workshop - is there such a service in Europe? Thank You Jay 🎹
Brad Saucier
It wouldn't happen to be under warranty? 1 year. If it is not under warranty, any repair can help. It doesn't need to be authorized.
Jay C
Ok, thanks. Question: what kind of shop or dealership would be able to repair it? an electronics store or a music store?
Brad Saucier
Some music stores have technicians. It's worth calling around and checking, or they can recommend someone.
