Hello everyone!

My main question is: How can I stack multiple drawbar tones in one?

My intention is to recreate my own pipeorgan tone.

Basically, I've saved my own edited drawbar tones and tried do use it in the hex layer. But, in the hex layer only shows a "close" list of waves, also there are some "UserSplit" waves.

How do I access this "user" waves? Can I save my drawbar tones in there?

If I could, then it is solved my question.

If anyone have any other suggestions, please help.

When you say you edited your own drawbar organ tone, can you be more specific? Which preset tone did you start with?  You can layer up to 4 normal preset or user tones on the MZX.

This may be tricky to explain.  The hex layer editor is an advanced synthesizer, and as such, editing a hex layer tone is very much like programming a synth.

In a hex layer, up to 6 "waves" can be layered in a single tone.  These waves are the individual ingredients used to create preset tones.

It is not possible to directly import other user tones into a hex layer tone.  You will need to load individual wave elements used to create preset tones, then edit.  In system settings, turn on "initialize by wave" to load a wave with similar characteristics to those used in preset tones.

Hello! Thank you for the response, I've started with the 0261 VTW FLUTE8 preset, just tweaked the drawbar setting with the slider, and saved as a new tone.

Can I recreate this tone as a wave maybe?

Algo it wasn't clear to me what is the user waves, is there any video that explains more about it?

User waves.  This is memory storage for sample expansion.  The MZX series has the ability to load new waveform sample data.  This comes from tones created by the MZX Sample Manager software.  These tones are unique.  As new tones of this type are installed, the user wave slots will begin to fill with new sample data.  This new data can be selected in the hex layer editor.

As far as the VTW tone, you may be able to recreate something similar in the hex layer editor using sine waves or organ waves.  It is not possible to load elements of a VTW tone in the hex layer editor since VTW tones do not use wave data to generate sound.  They are instead created with modelling algorithms.

Thak you! That helped me a lot.

Do you think is there any other way to achieve my goal? (Stacking multiple drawbar layers) or where can I find a good church pipe organ?

I'm trying to use Casio Sample Manager to sample an organ pipe and create a new tone, but I couldn't loop my sample, is that possible?

Other software is needed to prepare looped samples.  Wavosaur is one software that's free.  It can be used to set loop points in the sample files.  Load those files in the MZX sample manager to create tones will looped samples.  The keyboard will then loop those samples.

Thank You!

I couldn't get it to work with the wavosaur, but I manage to get it with de "endless wav" that is also free.

One more question:

Is there a "manual bass" function in the MZ-X500?

I mean, assign a tone ONLY to the lowest note i'm playing.

Not quite, but if it works in the auto accompaniment, great!

I mean like the "split" function.

In some pipe organs there is a function that recognizes the lowest key being pressed on the keyboard and plays de bass only for that note.
