Will SP 34 pedal unit work on the PX 800 keyboard?

I need a replacement pedal unit for a PX 800 keyboard. The only listings I see are for the SP34 for pedal. Will that work with the PX 800?

It is not designed to work with the PX-800, the connector is different.  Some users here have rewired the SP-34 for similar purposes.

I was afraid of that. I am looking to buy a particular used. BX 800 that needs a new pedal assembly. I have not been able to find that specific part yet and was hoping the P 34 would work.

I've seen several DIY posts on the forums about rewiring if you'd like to try that route.
