Gabriel Bossa
Hello everyone! I'm trying to use the Casio Sample Manager to sample a free sample set of a pipe organ (if anyone is interested, it is the Giubiasco from Piotr Grabowski). The samples are .wav files. My idea is to use two hex layers to create 12 different stops from the organ (i've alredy done two of them) I'm opening this topic so that I can ask my questions since i'm new to this. For context: I'm doing this to play hymns at the mass So here is my first question: When using the Casio Sample Manager, i connected my MZ-X500 to the computer by using a USB-B cable, it shows that i'm connected and when I click on "convert" open up a "SAMPLE MANAGER" window on the screen of the keyboard, I couldn't understand what this does. Can anyone help me? I couldn't understand what the manual says about this MIDI connection. Bur, I'm guessing I need to use a USB flash drive and import my new tone to the MZX, but then what's the benefit of the MIDI connection with the Casio Sample Manager? Brad Saucier
A USB flash drive is used to transfer converted sample data to keyboard memory. Once that is complete, further editing is done through the MIDI connection.
