Noticed all my file dates for this year are stuck on 2013, Now i'ts hard to find this years ZAL files for instance.

I've actually never noticed the files dates before, Now that I need to recall some files I cant find them by month day or year. 

It also seems some are from 2009 and most stuck on 24-01-2013 at 09:00. Even my latest ZAL files get this date. 

 

Where does this date come from?.

The date must be in the firmware of the instrument.  Each model I have produces files with dates that roughly correspond to the date of early software development for the model.

Its baked in from the last firmware update?.

Not necessarily the last update.  The date could be unchanged from the first version.
