lbm0323 Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 I'm a noob to keyboards and music production generally, but have set up my Privia PX-S7000 and I have it hooked up via the USB output into my mac(USB-c) Unfortunately, the keyboard is not being detected in MIDI Studio, so I'm not able to detect the MIDI keyboard in Logic. I've tried swapping the cable a handful of times, but seem pretty stuck. If anyone has thoughts I'd really appreciate it! Mike Martin Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 You're using the wrong USB port. You need to use the square USB-A port on the back for MIDI communication. Quote
Solution Brad Saucier Posted October 10, 2024 Solution Posted October 10, 2024 (Edit: oops, Mike beat me to it) Welcome to the forums and thank you for the photos. That is very helpful in answering your question. The port you have connected to on the PX-S7000 is not the correct one for MIDI. Use the USB Type B port (24) to connect as a MIDI controller. 1 Quote
b77 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Btw, can any of the PX-S series transmit MIDI to Mac (or PC) via Bluetooth? So basically wireless MIDI controller + Mac? Quote

So basically wireless MIDI controller + Mac? With the WU-BT10 adapter to Mac, yes. To PC, not without workarounds. So far I have not been successful with using Bluetooth MIDI with a PC. Quote
