Hey all,

I've got a Casio Privia that stopped producing sound for a couple of keys. Given how cheap and old the keyboard is I decided to try and diy the repair. I'm halfway done with reassembly, but after I reattached all the keys it seems all the white keys get stuck down when I press on them. I've tried to thoroughly lubricate everything with lithium grease, but no amount of lubricant seems to help. Can someone help me understand what I may have done wrong?

The hammers seem to work fine on their own when the keys are removed. But when I attach the keys again it seems to get stuck on the black rubber piece in the front of the key. I just can't quite figure out what I've done wrong, it what I can do to reassemble this thing.

Thank you.  Unfortunately I do not see an obvious issue.  I can only offer some tips.  The action needs to be on a level surface in order to work properly.  Make sure the rubber hammer caps are in good condition and not missing or broken.  Make sure the hammers are properly engaging the keys.  Make sure the keys are properly seated in their positions.

Thanks for the advice. It feels like the keys are getting stuck on the black rubber stopper. They are pulling them up. I wonder if I'm using the wrong grease. How do lubricate the action?
