Eu gostaria que alguém pudesse me ajudar a editar o timbre do piano no modo (PCM).

Como posso melhorá-lo? deixe o timbre bem ajustado? o que posso mudar para melhorá-lo (o timbre do piano).

How can I improve it? make the timbre well adjusted? what can I change to improve it (the piano timbre).

Assuming the above translation is at least in the ballpark, you can indeed improve the acoustic piano tone. You can’t change the underlying sample, but you can apply some filtering and take steps to lengthen the “sustain” (what synthesists would call “decay”). Check out this video about doing those improvements by layering two PCM melody tones:

Although Martin Horn (funnzie) is using a WK-7600 arranger keyboard here, the techniques he is using work the same on the XW-P1 because it has a very similar underlying PCM sound engine. The “sweet” piano tone Martin creates does sound better to my ear but it really only works well for slow, melodic music and it also cuts the polyphony in half, down to only 16 notes.

Fortunately, the XW-P1’s Hex Layer mode allows the sustain/decay to be easily changed without using the clever “trick” explained in the video (making use of the delay effect) and without reducing polyphony. You do need to create the new piano tone yourself, however, by populating the six layers of a Hex Layer tone with the appropriate PCM waves (low, medium and high velocity acoustic piano waves for both left and right sides, assuming you need stereo) and setting the velocity ranges for the layers appropriately. For each layer, set the filter cutoff and the decay time to your taste.
