Tone Mutant: A Tone Editing Tool for Casio CT-X Keyboards

Tone Mutant is a tone editing tool designed for Casio CT-X series keyboards. It provides a way to control and customize synthesis parameters, including DSP effects, using MIDI USB connectivity.

Features

• Real-time control of synthesis parameters (including DSP effects) for the currently selected keyboard tone, using SysEx commands over MIDI USB to the keyboard.
• Includes descriptions for all used parameters.
• Ability to generate a random tone or randomize specific tone parameters.
• Option to view a log of incoming and outgoing MIDI messages.
• Supports saving and loading tone parameters as JSON-formatted files for easy sharing (saving as a TON file is not yet implemented).
   

 

The tool is compatible with the following keyboards:

•     CT-X5000
•     CT-X3000 (not yet tested)
•     CT-X8000IN (not yet tested)
•     CT-X9000IN (not yet tested)
•     CT-X700 (not yet tested)
•     CT-X800 (not yet tested)
