Casio LK-280, power button and power supply problem

I have a somewhat strange problem. The keyboard, without batteries and connected to the power with its original adapter, works correctly, all the buttons work well, the power button also works well, I can turn the keyboard on and off properly. But after a few minutes the keyboard stops working, all the symbols on the display appear and the power button stops working. If I physically unplug the power cord and plug it back in, the keyboard works again but the power button no longer responds... and after a few minutes the same thing happens again.

 

It is as if some component were to heat up and consequently a short circuit and malfunction occurred.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried with fresh batteries?
