vikim Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Hello! I recently got an older hand me down casio keyboard, and I've been having a great time trying to learn piano so far. But the tone function doesn't seem to work at all. I can press the tone key and select tones from the menu just fine, but the sound of the keys is completely unaffected. The only way to change it is to select a different song from the piano bank, but there's only 50 songs and 255 tones, so some tones are inaccessible. Is there something I'm missing? The manual for this model doesn't mention this issue either. Video Link The screen is a bit damaged and hard to read, but you can see the "TONE" indicator in the upper right. I first tried changing the tone number without exiting the menu, with exiting the menu, and lastly changing the song number in piano bank mode. As a side note, you can only switch between piano bank mode and song bank mode. You can't turn them both off as far as I'm aware. Brad Saucier Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Press the flashing button after selecting a new tone. Does the flashing stop? Does the sound heard now reflect the name of the selected tone? Quote
vikim Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 That doesn't work either. I tried that in the video to no effect sadly. Quote
