RoLa Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Hello, I have WK-3300 keyboard and I would like to know, if it is possible to create CKF file for package for this instrument. Data Management Software IDES4.0 has no such possibility. I tried to use e.g. Data Manager 6.1, which has Package Edit Mode, but I was not able to connect this software to my WK-3300. Is that even possible? Quote
casio_style Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hello, the package file is created on the synthesizer itself and it can be saved on a memory card, through the menu of the synthesizer card. 1 Quote
RoLa Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Hello, thank you for your reply. I can save from my keyboard individual files on a SD card, but I did not find in the manual "WK-3300, ... User's Guide", how it would be possible to combine more files to one package file. I am sure that it is possible, as CKF package files for my keyboard are available on the web. But, may be, they must be created by some proprietary Casio software, which is not commonly available. 1 Quote
casio_style Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Yes, these package files are created by CASIO. I have 7 of these files. The only way to create a package file for yourself is now using a synthesizer. E - 82 ( WK3300_en.pdf ) *1: Package File A package file combines tone settings, DSP effect settings, and other setup data into a single file that you can manage and load as a unit (package). Once you create a package file, you will be able to change the entire setup of the keyboard by loading a single package file. *2: All of the user data (SMF to package file) in the above table can be handled as a single file. Note, however, that due to the size of the file, it cannot be stored on a floppy diskette. Package File Data Contents: Data Type -- User Area SMF ---190 to 199 (10 Songs) Rhythm Patterns -- 174 to 181 (8 rhythms) Registrations -- 7 to 8 (2 banks) Drum Sound With Waves - 903 (1 set) Drawbar Organ Tones - 190 to 199 (10 tones) Tones - 790 to 799 (10 tones) Tones With Waves - 810 to 819 (10 tones) DSP - 190 to 199 (10 effects) In the package file, these data section on the synthesizer are saved. It is in these sections that you need to upload styles, timbres and other data, then configure and save as a package file on a SD card. Quote
RoLa Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Yes, you are right; in such a way it is possible to create some "pack" of all indivudual items in user areas of keyboard's internal memory. But such file is of the type "All User Data", which is saved on SD card with extension Z09 and has different structure from the file type "Package File", which is saved with extension Z08. But I think that the file type "All User Data" can succesfully substitute the type "Package File" and that creating Package File is not necessary for common users. If I do not want to include some items to this "pack", I can (temporarily) delete them. Quote
casio_style Posted March 1 Posted March 1 My Casio WK3800 saves package files without problems, in Z08 format. I save All data (Z09 ) as a complete backup, but such a file is loaded in the synthesizer for a long time. The package file loads about 10 times faster ... Quote
