Kwalie Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I just bought a CT-S1000V last week and I can’t get it to download the updated firmware. I bought a FAT32 usb and downloaded the firmware on it. I have windows 11 and I made sure to extract the file. Every time I insert it into the keyboard it comes up “No file” or “No media”. I know that the keyboard reads the usb because it downloaded a file on it for music. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Quote
Brad Saucier Posted February 25 Posted February 25 The instructions on the download page must be followed precisely. Can you identify which step listed is the problem? https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=2917 Quote
Kwalie Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 5. Press the NEXT button below the LCD screen. “SETUP” is displayed. After a few moments, the UPD file selection screen appears and “SELECT UPDATE FILE” is displayed. This is as far as I get. Setup comes up and after a few seconds it appears “No media”. The file name for the firmware is the same file name on the usb. Thank you! Quote
Brad Saucier Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The file must not be inside of any folders on the flash drive. It must be in the root directory. Double check that is the case. The full file name should be “CTSV0102.UPD” precisely. 1 Quote
Chas Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) @Kwalie - I made a video showing all the steps needed to download and then flash the updated firmware to the S1000V. Check that you are following all the steps exactly, and also ensure that the update file is not placed in a directory other than root on the flash drive, as Brad mentioned.
