John3412 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hi, I have my CT-S1000v connected via its WU-BT10 midi dongle (port A) to another keyboard (with CME WIDI Master) and I use this other keyboard to play sounds on Casio. This works pretty well. But there is one issue: Casio receives not only on MIDI channels 1-5, but also on 6-16 and there seems to be no way to disable input on those channels. This, of course, becomes a problem when a third device is added to the mix that also receives on some channel from 6 to 16. As far as I can tell this a bug, MIDI implementation chart clearly states port A should only receive on channels 1-5. Anyone figured out how to disable or circumvent this behavior? Thanks. Quote
Brad Saucier Posted March 21 Posted March 21 It is working correctly. It is designed to be GM compatible, 16 channel MIDI Rx. As the updated MIDI implementation manual shows in the charts and footnotes, changing MIDI input to Port A redirects channels 1 through 5 while Port C continues to be used for 6 through 16. Unfortunately there is no way to block specific channels within the keyboard itself, so an external MIDI filtering method would be needed. Quote
John3412 Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Thanks. I see now, I incorrectly interpreted port A meaning physical port at the back of the keyboard marked "TO DEVICE" USB-A connector, and port C the other one: "TO HOST". But it has nothing to do with that. Quote
