Hey there!   I'm an accomplished pianist, but need some tech-type help with a Casio CTX700.   This is the first electronic keyboard I've ever played, and I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to even the most basic of operations.  There's a lot of vocabulary in the User's Manual that I am just beginning to learn.  I have managed to mess around with lots of the available sounds, and I understand how to access them.  But I'm playing the Keyboard/Synth book in a music theater pit band.  I would like to set the keyboard up so that I can switch tones quickly by pressing just one button rather that hitting "Tone" and then the 3-digit code.  I only need a few sounds, like piano, strings, accordion, bandoneon, celeste, harp, recorder, etc.  I just want to know how to save them where I can access them quickly, like within a measure or so.  Anyone out there able and willing to help me?  Thanks for reading my post!  -Mary

Welcome to the forums Mary!  What you're looking for is called registrations.  A registration can store favorite keyboard setups.  To create a registration setup, press RHYTHM, then select a tone or make any other settings changes you want.  Now store this by pressing BANK, then hold the STORE button while pressing a registration button.  A registration bank has 4 buttons for 4 registrations.  32 total registrations are available by changing banks.  To change banks, use the number keypad, or plus minus buttons, or press the bank button repeatedly.
