Mike Martin Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 There is already a firmware update planned for the PX-5S which should be out around the time units hit the stores here in the US.Highlights include: - Polyphonic Portamento- Added a second break point for filter and amp key scaling- Momentary/Toggle option for pedals- Additional waveforms added for use in HexLayer patches (6 varieties of Sawtooth, more than 10 varieties of pulse...etc)- Improved EQ- .Wav file playback adjustable volume.- Zone and Layer on/off switch from pedal/knob/slider- Real-time filter response smoother...and more. Nextname Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Great updates! The PX-5S gets better and better. Reading the manual, the thing I would hope could be addressed in an update is the LFOs. It would be great to have truly independent filter and amp LFOs. Also, it would be nice to have the depth polarity adjustable for each layer of a hex layer, so you could have the filters of two layers moving in opposite directions via the LFO. And tempo sync would be great as well. I apologize if I misunderstood the manual and the PX-5S can already do these things. Again, awesome updates! Can't wait to try this synth!
