  1. I would like to see a Casio make a stand alone drum machine. Like the one's in xw series. They could just make it larger than 16 steps... 64 if possible. Add a sample import and some basic effects and i would be thrilled.
  2. how did you load your own samples ?? in the user wave?? how to do it? thanks.
  3. Hi guys! I realised that i feel very limited when using only 16 steps of G1's sequencer. So, i found a solution (at least for myself). I am thinking of getting a second hand Yamaha qy10 or Alesis SR16 and hooking it up with MIDI. I particulary think that SR16 will look awesome on my G1! So, before i even start digging the market, can someone explain is it even possible?? Thanks.
  4. ALSO VOTE FOR G1 HERE! Thanks Martin!
  5. Thanks, Mr. Martin! Glad you are back! I just wish it said in the manual : "Hey, if you want a sequence the Solo Synth, change the Solo track to channel 1!" As you will (or you already have) notice, i am totally new (three weeks) user, and i am constantly bragging about XW G1 manual, here on the forum. And i am not the only one. You can make me feel more comfort, if you just say that you ARE aware of manual's bad reputation and that someone in Casio is doing something about it. I don't want to sound like i am critisizing (which i already probably do), but i think we all need your toughts on it. Thanks! Without you, all would be lost .
  6. does this meen this? : i can have 3 parts running (for example), and i could manipulate cutoff (also example) for all three parts, live, without going trough menus??
  7. that is, as far as i know (i have it one month) only possible only for 1 part and only a SoloSynth parameters. And yes, all steps. You can however record your performence with cuttoff changes and sequencer will play it like that. Altough, i dont know how to do that cause, i say again and will keep saying: MANUAL SUCKS.
  8. another vote for the manual!!! because, we, "the synth freaks", dont mind if discover the features almost accidentally. but we HATE when we have to discover the worklflow all by ourselfs.

    Manual.

Its not "badly" written. It actually SUCKS! Who else agrees? I just want to get Casio's attention, so they can make one better for download. Or do ANYTHING about it.
  10. on the far upper left side of the synth, there are 3 buttons (OSC BLOCK, ENV GENERATOR & TOTAL FILTER/LFO), that let you choose what you control. if you press TOTAL FILTER/LFO button then the sliders should respond to what say is in that row (Type, Cuttoff, Resonance; Env Depth etc.) was that helpful?? and yeah manual sucks
  11. Can someone please explain me waht is it used for?? In the manual it says it can be done and how. But i dont know what it does. Plays sequences in a specific order?? Sorry for dump question, but it seems i can't grasp the workflow.
  12. Those groove boxes are not Vulcancs, and they are not Krog. They are Korg. And they are Volcas. One doesnt beat another. I am not defending Volcas, but their purposes are different. Volcas are analog drum machines, with 64 steps sequencer. And XWG1 is 16 step seq with samples. But has additional sounds and features. They cannot be compared.
  13. I also agree on rewriting the manual. This has become so often mentioned, that it deserves to have a separate thread. Mr.Mike, is there any chance for a new manual??
  14. Am i the only one that thinks that those things are not well explained in the manual?? I clearly see that i CAN change a solo part to be on channel1 , but theres no explanation WHY would i do that. Like, for example, it says also that i CAN make a Chain, but i still dont know what i can use it for, or what is Chain's purpose. Can i have also a simple explanation on that?? And, yeah. Thank you very much! It seems that is really rare to get simple and fast answers here.
