  1. I have exactly the same problem since a couple of days .. since it is completely random, it's hard to make a demo of it .. any suggestion, please ?
  2. @Brad : your proposal was indeed the solution : by separating audio and USB Midi (PX-5S & Ipad going separately to mixer instead of using "Audio In" of the Casio), I can now use the PX-5S as a master controller for the Ipad through the Camera Connection Kit. Thanks !!
  3. @Brad : you may have found the real issue .. until now I used to route the audio output of the IPad back to the input on the Casio. I’ll try to use the PX-5s as a usb master controller only and route the IPad output to a mixer ! Thanks for the tip !
  4. @XW-Addict .. hi .. basically it's a kind of humming noise on the Ipad when I try to play any synth (I have several such as Synthmaster) from the PX-5S keyboard connected to the ipad either directly through the Camera conenction Kit or going through a Belkin Powered USB Hub. The humming (sounds a little like some distorsion added to the sound) occurs only when I press keys on the Casio. I tested with another keyboard, the M-Audio 49Es , and no humming occurs ..
  5. Thank you, Brad , for your reply. This might be a solution. Sad though I can't use the PX-5s' USB connection ..
  6. Hi everybody ... I'm trying to connect my PX-5S to an ipad using an Apple camera connection kit and a Belkin USB hub (F5U701-BLK), recommended for avoiding the documented ground noise problem. But whatever I try, I cannot get rid of the unwanted noise. I would like to use AUM on the Ipad. Do you have any ideas for a potential solution ? Thanks in advance ! (I do have an Iconnectivity Iconnectmidi 2+ but in this case , I would like to use two keyboards through USB only).
  7. Thank you very much , Brad .. this was exactly what I missed in the process .. solves everything ! :-))
  8. Hi, I have the following problem. I start with a decent GM midifile which sounds nice when played as a SMF file directly on my PX-5S. I checked the messages in Logic's list editor and they are indeed standard GM. But then, I ltry to play the same midifile into Logic Pro X , with all the tracks set on external midi with the PX-5S USB-Midi as a destination. And suddenly , the PX-5S doesn't recognize the program change messages anymore, and consequently does not select the right sounds. Same goes for Band-in-a-box (with PS-5X selected as Coremidi destination) , by the way, and of course the possibility of selecting sounds directly in Logic Pro X through external midi tracks and its inspector. Whenever standard GM Program change messages are send to the PS-5X, it doesn't seem to respond as a GM-compatible soundmodule. It only does through its internal SMF playback mode. Didi I miss smething in the process ? Thanks for your help :-))
