  1. Ok, I have Roland FA-06, Casio PX-5S, Casio LK270, Korg Microstation and EMU Xboard-61. Overall MZ-X500 beats in terms of easy quick access/fun/possibilities/touch control/sounds/speakers all above. MZX have the Best (semi?)-weighted keybed, is solid/feel almost as weighted piano keys, it beats PX5S weighted keys, as MZX ones are very fast/responsiver, you can trigger small velocity sound with small pressure, its like fast synth action with weighted piano keys feel without the noise/bad small pressure respons as PX5S hammered keys. Roland FA-06 keybey is cheap noisier plastic standard, totally unweighted feel organ/synth action, it feels the same as the Xboard. If I hadn't a lemon MZX, the all-in-one MZX beats above for quick music fun.
  2. Just received this new mzx with already factory FW v1.2.1. IS their QC deaf? Cant miss the wtf LOUD whistling at all LEFTspeaker/L headphone/L line-outputs! UNACCEPTABLE! SHOCKING! I'll returned it, will wait a year to get the later better versions.
  3. Did you do this: read the manual: Troubleshooting: Tones and/or effects sound> The "Back up" feature is turned on.> Turn off "Back up". Next, turn power off and then back on again.>page E-25 strange. Turning power off and then back on again does not eliminate the problem. Example: Note intensity does not change even though I alter key pressure.
  4. Oh Yes, Don't forget the Windows Bug XP/vista/7 max. first 10 Midi drivers Limit, Only the first midi0 to midi9 devices in the midi drivers list will be recognized by any Midi Programs. Any installed midi drivers in/from position midi10 etc. are useless! Lucky there's the KORG MIDI Driver Uninstall Utility (393kB) to delete any midi drivers from that midi list very easily, just point and click to make room. Otherwise you'll need to dig into windows registery.
  5. Here's how I "solved" this croppy editor problem on vista 32: Every single time when startup the editor, PX5S must be Disconnected! otherwise the editor gets stuck and crashed. Run editor (takes a minute as it tries to make connection with PX5S USB! even with disabled AutoSearch!). Then disable AutoSearch in Preference, now connect PX to USB and select manually in the editor Preferences MIDI in/out to "CASIO USB-MIDI". And close any MIDI USB app. before running the editor as it don't tolerate parallel PX MIDI USB use! --- Any change of an UPDATE FIX for this Editor to stop the autosearch! and able for parallel midi usb use and a VST Editor is welcome!?
