Matwork

I want to use the XWP1 solosynth via USB with a DAW (Maccaw). I have heard that only MIDI channel 1 could be used to control the solosynth or hexlayer or drawbar organ - but it does't work. On MIDI channel 1 only piano, strings/brass, gtr/bass and various is available. Even manually asigning doesn't work. I am new in this forum, so probably this issue is discussed former. Please could anyone help me, to solve the problem? Thanks in advance
