  1. Watching this video makes me happy even today, even though I couldn't buy one! Only if it was relaunched at the same price, once more!
  2. Yamaha already has it? Nice! A time will come when people will stop buying MIDI controllers all together. You should be getting more than a MIDI controller. I personally think that a MIDI controller that cannot make any sound of its own is a waste. There should be more to it. I don't know if it is some kind of way to make more money by separating MIDI controllers, Workstations, arrangers, Synths, digital pianos etc. Will a time come when we have an all in one concept like an arranger workstation synth keyboard? (MZ X500 was very close...)
  3. Mine was an SA 5 keyboard in red and blue colour combination! I gave it to my friend's son.
  4. Thanks for the information! I found this: Looks very very promising to me!! Now I'm sure Casio can do it! Watch out MAudio, Akai etc!!! Casio is on the HUNT!
  5. Casio's Upgradation policy is a real........................... mystery!! Especially for their flagship keyboards! The PX-5S was launched in 2013 and there are people still waiting in 2022!! 9 YEARS! Maybe the correct time for an update will be after 10 YEARS! Keep Speculating till death! Don't give up though!
  6. Maybe you are right, but its a good feature to have. No need to own 2 separate keyboards for Performance and DAW. I was expecting something like the Roland FA series which has that DAW controller feature. I believe that Casio can at least implement it in its flagship keyboards (upcoming or present) like the MZ X series and the legendary PX-5S. If Casio manages to do that..... it will definitely set the market on FIRE!!!!
  7. There was one more suggestion that I want Casio to implement in the upcoming WK series, if possible. i.e a MIDI button that will turn the WK Keyboard into a MIDI Keyboard making its sliders, knobs, buttons, pads, mod/pitch wheel etc fully assignable on a DAW. (preferably with FL Studio). Actually, I wished if this was implemented on the MZ X series also. Maybe, it should be implemented on all Casio Keyboards. This will bring an end to all those MIDI Keyboard brands like MAudio, Akai, Nektar etc that only offer MIDI Keyboards without any inbuilt sounds. I mean a MIDI button for DAW integration and a PERFORMANCE Button for normal playing.
  8. Same here.... not so impressed with the Voice modelling Casio as it is not very feature rich. Expecting a workstation at that price point.
  9. Casio is still selling the WK6600 & WK 7600 as high grade keyboards. The 9 sliders should be assignable for more functions in the Upcoming models. Casio can at least update the sound engine of the WK series from the AHL (tri-element) to the AIX sound engine. Expression pedal should be also be added. It will basically be a CTX5000 with sliders, knobs, Modulation whell/Joystick with more keys maybe and more polyphony. Or may be it will turn into an MZ X300!!
  10. Just wanted to know if Casio will launch a WK-X series like the CT-X series?? I'm looking forward to an update for the WK-7600 series with extra features like audio over USB, Bluetooth, few assignable knobs, sssignable Pads, proper modulation wheel or Joystick, 128 note polyphony etc. Basically an higher version of CT-X series Keyboards? At present Casio does not have a product in the Rs. 35000 to 50000 category. The Korg has the EK50 (with modulation wheel) but it barely competes with the CT-X series. And Roland recently launched the EX50 (which is a crap keyboard) with the only highlight being the 256 mote polyphony; EX50 cannot compete with the CT-X series. Mind you, I'm interested in Arranger workstation and not the Vocal synthesis Keyboard recently launched by Casio (though they are really cool!) Any rumours about New Casio WK Series???
  11. Casio always enters with a BANG!! But as previously mentioned by Casio Forum members, the updating of these models takes a lot of time, especially the professional or semi-professional Keyboards,
  12. Seems to me like a bleak situation in either of those cases. Why did Casio set such high standards before stopping? It will be difficult for competing brands and for Casio itself. Just look at the Yamaha PSR X600 which was launched after MZ X, it just cannot compete with the MZ X series. Roland seems to be puzzled or scared to update its BK series and Korg also is not interested in updating its PA300 even though it launched the PA700 and PA1000 recently (in a different price category). This can be termed as the Casio effect!
  13. (Please note that I'm not looking for a used keyboard)
  14. That sounds really scary!!!! It makes me think whether I should wait further? I would have opted the Medeli AX10 but that too is not available in India. I am not interested in the Yamaha PSR X600 and Korg PA 300 is too old too. After COVID, the prices of PA300, PA600, PA700 and the very very old Roland's BK series have shot up. The prices have increased drastically!
  15. In 2020 I got only one Seller in Kerala who was offering the MZX kept for demo purposes (Open Box). And I tried contacting sellers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Delhi and also Casio India but they all said that it had been discontinued. You might be really lucky to have bought 4 of them. The worst part about Casio discontinuing its legendary Keyboards is that they set a very high standard which no other brand can keep up with, and later on just discontinue the Keyboard making the customer mad (who couldn't buy the Keyboard when it was available!) I'll still wait. Maybe they will at least launch a WK-X Series with 128 Note polyphony with modulation wheel, Sliders, Hex Layers etc. I'll wait!
  16. Please launch a successor to the MZ X keyboard, its been more than 6 years now!! PLEASE CASIO!! At least make the MZ X500 available in India for one last time I got a job and started earning in 2019 but by that time MZ X500 was not available in India. I was waiting to buy this keyboard since its launch but did not have the budget. I have a CTK6300IN which stopped working in 2020 and I am still waiting for the MZ X500 till this day!! Its my dream keyboard!! THERE IS NO WORTHY COMPETITOR TO THE MZ X500 AT THAT PRICE POINT & I'M STILL WAITING!!
  17. Its 2022, 2nd half and I am still waiting.........................! Is there anything in the pipeline? Anything above the CTX Series with proper 128 note polyphony, proper modulation wheel,,,,,etc I mean an MZ X successor? Can't find the MZ X500 in India till today nor any competitor! Any news???
  18. PX-5S is another legendary keyboard that never came back. Don't know why Casio punishes Legendary keyboards like PX-5S, XW-G1, MZ-X etc? I think PX560 is an exception.
  19. Casio PX-S1100: one of the best digital pianos for beginners just got an upgrade. Check this link: https://www.musicradar.com/news/casio-px-s1100-digital-piano
  20. Thanks for all the replies but PA700 is out of my budget. I'm really heart broken! Don't know why Casio does this discontinuation thing (So quickly)but just look at those old geezers out there, they shamelessly hang around for years without any successors!! I would suggest that you discontinue a product only if you have a replacement/successor I hope Casio has not given up.
  21. The worst part is that there is no competitor to the MZ X500 even today (In the price range from โ‚น31000 to โ‚น60000), after 5 years or so. The only latest competitor is the Yamaha PSR X600 but how can it ever compete the HEX LAYER if it cannot even layer 2 sounds in the lower part? Casio is the only company that can truly integrate Synth, Arranger and Workstation into one keyboard! Is there any upgrade to the Casio WK7600? Is there anything from Casio for Summer NAMM (July 15, 2021 to 16th July 2021)???
  22. I waited for more than 4 years to buy my dream keyboard: MZ X500, because I didn't have enough money to buy it. Now when I have the money, I can't find the keyboard! I have been trying to buy my dream keyboard since 2020 but cannot find it in India. (No reputed sellers) I have owned a Casio CTK6300IN since 2016 and I wanted to upgrade to a Casio Keyboard. EVEN TODAY THERE IS NO COMPETITION TO CASIO MZ X500. The only available keyboards are old geezers! I request Casio to make Casio MZ X500 available on Amazon India, Flipkart or Casio India Shop or at least launch a successor to the MZ X500๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ My CTK6300IN has stopped working since February 2021 and haven't played any keyboard since then. I can buy only one keyboard. Please give an explanation for this weird unavailability of MZ X500, because even 6 to 7 year old keyboards are available today!
  23. Ohh I'm trapped!! My CTK6300in has stopped working and I cannot find the MZ X500, nor can I find any other keyboard that can compete with it at that price point. All that is available at the moment is the Korg PA300 (more than 6 years old), Roland BK5 (more than 9 years old!) and I want the MZ X500 ONLY or an updated version of it. It's been more than 5 years now! Please make the MZ X500 available on Amazon India or Casio India Shop or launch an updated version. Please do something Casio๐Ÿ™ (I don't want the CTX9000in with a modulation button, 64 notes polyphony, without sliders etc)
  24. I'll wait for the successor of MZ X500. I won't buy a used one nor an MZ X300. I'm sure the successor will have better overall sounds like the AIX and much more (Bluetooth etc)
