Need advice Uploading my sounds to PX5s

Hi, I am a new PX560 owner. If I understand, to store a patch in a registration you hold store key and bank #. There are 24 registrations in each bank. How do I store/recall the registrations in each of those 24 registrations in each bank. For example, if I want to store/recall a registration in bank #2, registration #21?

I thought I'd try here because I don't really know anything about keyboards....I am a guitar player, but my church bought a Px-5s and I am trying to learn how to work it. I am familiar with banks and parameters because I've used guitar processors in the past, but this thing is so confusing to me. I'd like to have bank 0-0 be the piano and have bank 0-1 be synth strings 1. But I'd like to have another bank be a harp. Every time I change 0-1 to synth strings and go to a diff bank, if I hit strings it's changed to synth strings. So I change it to a harp then go back to 0-1 and hit strings and it's a harp again. What's the point in having different banks if the only option I have within a banks parameters is the same as every other parameter? Like I said I'm a guitar player but every piano player in church is freaked out by this thing. We need diff settings for our praise band and an orchestra. The praise band uses synth strings and the orchestra uses the harp but they are both string tones. And if you go to a number within any bank if you hit the strings button it goes to whatever you changed it to last. I want a harp on one and a strings on the other. This is quite frustrating to try to figure out. I want to be able to hit a button and have the sound I want. If that makes any sense.

Hello all! Okay - I'll admit that I never thought I would buy a Casio but my 70 pound vintage Alesis 88 qs8 died during the holidays. (yes I have newer synths too) It was an opportunity to buy something lighter (and in a good price range) but also I liked the possibilities of an auto arranger. Sooooooooo - here is the big question - Is it possible to save an auto accompaniment that I've chosen (in this case - FoxTrot rhythm, Tone-Piano007, tempo 96) to a preset. I would like to be on a duo gig and simply press one button for this one song. I found the pages that talk about "registrations". I've never heard that term before. I have heard "user banks" "User files" - anyway - when I try to save to a bank, it saves a "Music Preset". I just want to save the auto accompaniment configuration. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Also - in regards to the Music Presets, if I were to use these, how do would I change the key? I realize the chord progressions are fixed but when I was playing around with them, I couldn't find a way to do that. Thank you! Melissa

I haven't used my PX-5S in over a year and am trying to relearn it. One thing I don't remember is what's happening now. When I press the Bank button on the top right, it flashes blue for a second or so, but even if I hold it down, I can't switch banks. Except one time I noticed the blue light stayed lit, I switched banks -- and now I'm stuck in that bank. I presume this is a malfunction? Since I have a gig in a couple of days, I can't bring it in for repairs. Does anyone know a fix or workaround? Any suggestions would be MOST appreciated! unklebry

I went thru the stages and flagged many that are very similar, so I may overwrite them. Does anyone play live and have any special organization for the stages that work? I'm guessing the pianos in the bank X-0 position, ep's in bank X-1, etc makes sense, but it's a different way to setup sounds from what I'm used to, and I'm concerned about pressing 3 buttons to go from a piano to an organ quickly, for instance. My XP has on bank one: 3 pianos, 4 organs, 3 synths, so I can play several songs on this one bank requiring only one key press to switch sounds. For other sound sets, I can switch to bank 2, so again, I'm only hitting one button on the fly to change sounds if needed. Maybe this is a non-issue, but I was just wondering about how others set up for live play?

Has anyone found a printable database of the tones that are included in the PX-5S? I know there'd be a lot of people who would love to be able to see a tone list without having to browse each tone manually.
