synth parts for musicals

Recommended Posts

I'm playing my PX-5S in a musical.  In the synth part is lists of patch suggestions.   In the score itself there are specific instructions, i.e.
(soft padding XV - E - 45, full range) with
Acoustic Bass (K2500 962 , C2 and down)

I know that some of the instructions are for splitting the keyboard, but are numbers XV, or K2500 962, geared towards a specific type of keyboard or are they indications for a general MIDI keyboard?  I'm thinking the K2500 might be a Kurzweil reference but I'm not sure.

The first would be for a Roland XV-5080 module: PR-E (Preset E Group) 045 Soft Padding. The second is probably a program on a Kurzweil K2500 as you said.
