trancedelicbluesman
I'm looking at Reason 10 and Komplete 11 and Steinberg Absolute 3. Opinions anyone?

I recently purchased Acoustica Mixcraft Pro 8. I read all the reviews and examined the features it offers, and it by far offered the best value for money as well as being regarded highly. I'm still in the process of learning how to use it, and have no regrets whatsoever at choosing it over other more well known DAWs.

You certainly get a lot for your money.
AlenK
Another candidate: Tracktion 6. Totally free and a fairly complete DAW. It even supports third-party plug-ins (VST and AU) unlike the free version of Studio One - Studio One Prime - that doesn't.
