bmusproject
Casio could make a really good workstation combining elements from the WK and XW keyboards. This track had me begging for a normal sequencer so that I could build this groove in stereo. (Sample time and quality has to be traded for loop duration). It is nearly possible by using the peformance zones alongside the step and phrase sequencers but this track uses two "synth" sounds. (When setting up zones only zone 1 can be a "synth" sound.) Another idea instead of creating a workstation could be to increase the sample quality and duration and create looper tracks (with separate faders and stop/start buttons) like the Roland RC300/505.This is very much a "have your cake and eat it solution" but it would be amazing - just imagine. It would be the vidal sassoon of live looping all in one box. Peace!
Null
bmusproject >>> I hope you don't mind but I added your first two XW videos to the video section of the XW FAQ. Very demonstrative of how to lay down a groove using the pattern sequencer. Gary

bmusproject
Here's a track which just uses the squencer and mixer mute buttons. Although it was slightly long-winded compared to the looping approach, it's nice to be able to drop parts in and out. Peace!

bmusproject
Smooth Grroove Sampling. This loop had me begging for more sample time. This was recorded in stereo 22K which meant I could only have 2 bars at 84bpm.This wasn't a problem until the last layer where the phrase needed to be 4 bars long to give the groove a nicer sense of shape.Still fun.Peace!

Its nice to get an inspiration running but sad if you need have to set limits on it. My case that helps to limit sounds to get a groove less muddy. As usual you top it man you're grooves and useful practice tips although I'm not that much into jazz it certainly helps much getting a nicer playing style.
