  2. PianoScape

I've probably spent more time on this Stage Setting than any other.

This is a 4 zone Stage Setting set up as follows:
    Zone1: Strings
    Zone2: Pad
    Zone3: Synth Arp
    Zone4: Piano
Sliders 1-4 correspond to volume of each of those.  It starts with the volume of zones 1-3 set to 0.  Slider 5 is a wonderful stereo panning delay for the piano part.

What makes this Stage Setting different is the way each of the parts are voiced. This Stage Setting is "radio ready" or performance ready in that it utilizes a narrow amplitude dynamic range while still remaining remarkably expressive.

Pedal 2 is an essential element of this Stage Setting as it is set up to toggle the filter.  This allows this Stage Setting to breath. This is an especially unique and powerful aspect of the PX-5S.

    Enjoy.

  4. Grand Movie

This Stage Settting contains a new piano (ExpressiveGP) tone which is a variation on the Dolce Grand. It also has available stereo strings controlled by Slider 1 and an airy synth pad controlled by slider 2. As the name implies, I imagine Thomas Newman or another composer using this soft grand in a movie. Enjoy.

  6. Quivering (PX-5S)

A variation on the Factory Stage Setting (1-8 Quiver). This version has piano added and the arpeggiator is off. Filter control on Slider 1 creates some great variations.

  8. MONO EQ Piano

A mono version. Based on a Stage Setting made by Jim Alfredson who's been out performing live with his PX-5S is this new EQ'd piano preset. The low mid frequencies are cut, along with boost in the upper mids and high frequences, resulting in a piano sound that provides some cut and presence in a live mix.
    This is a Stage Setting.
    Thank you Jim Alfredson.

  10. Piano<Dynamc

    Firmware Version 1.10 Required.
This Stage Setting includes a modified Grand Piano Tone.
In this Stage Setting, the main Concert Grand tone on the PX-5S has been modified to provide a narrower dynamic range. For some players, the dynamic response may seem too wide or difficult to control. This narrowed response may be just what you're looking for.

  11. Concert Grand V2

A variation on the Concert Grand Stage Setting. This one has a lowered "initial attack". Unlike the other versions that have a lower initial attack, this version does not have a reduced dynamic range.

  12. ReverbGrand

System Effects are controlled by the Stage Setting, not the tone. So here is a piano with the reverb at maximum. This is the sound that was used for this demo:

It is recommended that you use the "Piano<Dynamc" Stage Setting with this tone as this change in response alters the depth of the Damper Resonance Effects.
