  1. These are so basic features that should have been in place upon release. They could have really put this workstation over the top by just adding basic featues like, having the Pads ability to select/mute tracks. The ability to use the Pattern Sequencer like a traditional Sequencer with option of turning off chord feature so i can hear Tracks playback without pressing the lower keys.I can go on and on but still a nice Machine.

  2. I was looking at the FA long before i purchased the Casio MZ500.I think the Casio sounds are more fresher and new.The casio in my opinion has more to offer if you are utilizing most of the machine.I would make my first decision on the Sound though.

  3. Thanks.I was just trying to recall the DSP Compressor setting that i set for the ( Sampling set ) to make it louder when i hit the Pad.I was able to set it the way i wanted by using the Effect setting & Mixer settings for that channel but could not properly recall it when saving to a Registration.I will try your method.

  4. Is there any way to save a Sample Set with a Pad Bank?.if I have a Midi Sequence using Set C I have to manually make sure the User Sampling Set A,B,C,Set is correctly. It does not save with the Song or Bank?

  5. Do you find it best to use the Pattern Sequencer for Sample Pad Loops and then the Midi Sequencer to compose?Sometimes the copy/paste of Pad Loops in the Midi Recorder delays a little when the Loop goes back to the top on the next bar.The tempo seems to start off on beat through the first 4 bars. Not sure if best to set the Pad Sample to Loop Mode on the Pad Screen or Copy and Paste the Loop to Repeat in the Midi Recorder or Pattern Sequencer?

  6. Thanks for that info greatly. If everything is set correctly the Midi Recorder Tracks should reflect all the Tracks setup in the Mixer Port C?I had each Track Monitoring what was on the Mixer Track except when armed for Recording the Tone would change to a Piano.I am guessing that i don't have to assign Tones again on the Midi Recorder Tracks once it is already setup on the Mixer Port C Channels?I will try again.

  7. Still problems with Song Template.I was able to save the Header/Mixer Port C settings with the tones i wanted. When i go into the Midi Recorder i can Monitor each Tone on it's Channel under the Monitor Button. When i press Record and select the a Channel it defaults back to a Piano and not the Tone saved in the Mixer Port C for that Channel.Do i still have to press Record and select a Tone again to assign to that Channel?Maybe i am missing something assuming that once the Port C Mixer is setup and save by the Registration & Midi Button it would save a Template so i could use the Tones already setup/saved on Mixer Port C?
