It's strange, ive had my XW-P1 for about a year now, and there are still time's I get that feeling I had when I first got it. Every time I think I reached the limit in some area of the synth, I discover some really cool thing It can do , or some new sound I didn't think it was capable of. An example, I was playing back a sequence in the phrase sequencer, I had a grungy kind of terminator bass line going, I thought what the heck i'll turn on the Arpeggio, and when I did the sequencer was playing with the same hex, both the phrase sequencer, and the Arpeggio. It was awesome, it transformed my phrase seq into some weird trippy Acid, tecno, dance trance stuff. As I was going through different arp's, preset and user,and phrase sequence's,i was getting really cool result's. Not every thing worked, but a lot of combination's did. I don't know if other synthesizer's let you create a hybrid combined arp and phrase on the same track, but it sure is cool the way the XW-P1 will let you do that. I think all the extended press the XW's are getting is adding to my deja vu. It seem's, it feel's like casio created three new classic's in the making. XW-P1, XW-G1, PX-5S. If there was a synthesizer hall of fame, these synth's should be in it. but that is just my opinion.

Thank's Brett, yes you can have a hex layer in zone 1, and you could add pcm tone's to the other three performance zone's. im not using pitch lock. The hex layer's were single tone's spread (layered) across the whole keyboard. Yes there was delay on mythic guitar. the right to slider's will adjust the delay time and amount.

Thank's Brett, I got 4 more im going to upload tonight. Then after the weekend I am going to take them off the forum, and put them on soundcloud.

Just put up three wav examples of the XW-P1 hex layer's, was gonna go mp3, but I didn't want the sound quality to suffer, so I went with lossless wave file's. I will be getting on soundcloud in near future. I would like to leave these wav files on the forum for a few day's. I do not want to suck up the bandwith, that's why I only uploaded 3, if I could leave them up long enough for Brett M to download them, I would be gratefull to the forum.

love genesis, older and newer, like the band boston, they got that corporate label, never understood that. It's just music. But that's just me I guess.

Hi Brett M,Tried uploading xw-p1 wav files but there is a two mb limit, my computer only make's lossless wav files. would high quality mp3 file's be okay?

Hi Brett M, If we can upload wave file's to the download section I will gladly post some demoe's of the XW-P1 hex layer's.I could post about ten or twenty hex example's with a little demo five or ten second's long, and a descripition of each hex layer.Other's may have something up sooner than me as it will take a day or two to get it all together and on this forum.

This forum, in my opinion is the best music forum out there.The fellas on this forum have alway's quickly and effectively answered my question's on the P1 and other tech synth stuff. This forum has a lot of content,wether it be casio synth's or other cool stuff. Lot's of info, super cool video's, and pic's, fun. It has a good vibe to it. Oh also, I have a P1, want a G1.

Wow! again Scott, I alway's thought the xw's were special. So many award's . For a short period of time I was begining to think that I was over the top with my love for the xw's, but knowing these award's exist, let's me know im not over the top. Thank's for alway's having great info.

Wow Scott, I didn't know the xw-p1 won that award too.

And that big award the px-5s recently won is even more proof that casio is back. I know that had to turn a few head's, and change a few mind's.

Super cool, those xw's show no sign's of slowing down. I could be wrong ,but it seem's like the xw's keep growing in popularity.

My first casio was an sk-1. got it in 1988,it was and is a fun little sampler. Surprizingly I still have it.

Thank's Scott for fixing that. In the future I am going to keep my user file's on their own separate sd card.
