Could someone please reup this? Thanks...

I am wondering how could I set the modulation wheel to affect the midi input of the mz x500. Is that possible? how?

Oh thanks! And what about creating dual voices for those midi channels? The only way I could think of is creating hexlayers with the tones already selected. My controller won't send on multiple channels simultaneously.
Is there any way?

Hi!
I have a mz x500 and by default midi instruments are in the C port. Since I'm using an old keyboard as a controller (It's an Yamaha psr 500) It only counts up to 100 voices, so the only way I found to change it's tone is by going to the Mixer menu, changing to C port and setting the voices there for the midi device.
However that is not stored on the registration (when I save by holding store and the desired number like usual). The tones for the midi controller are always just the last I choose. Interestingly the keyboard turns of the registration light when the tone for the midi controller is changed, like if had detected the change, but this information is not stored.
Maybe I am missing an easier way to change the tone for the midi device? Or something that would store this is turned off?
Thanks in advance!

It is a hexlayer tone. It is being used with another tone (non hexlayer) and there is split too(hexlayer on the lower). Moving it to the upper 1 solved that problem and that feels like some bug.... Why having it on upper 2 shouldn't work?
By the way, any chance chance casio will ever release the source code for those firmwares or any info about it? (if it already didnt?) I'm a computer programmer and I'm very interested on getting to know what is used on those keyboards since it's the first time I have one of those.

I've recently bought a mz x500 so sorry if that's a dumb question, but to me is kinda a very unexpected behaviour.
I've modified a hexlayer synth tone and added a delay effect. The effect works normally if I just select the tone from the menu, but if I save (register) it, the effect does not get restored. Is that normal behaviours? Why wouldn't the registered tone be the same as the one I select from the menu and thus with the same effects ?
How to change tones for the chords? (When the rythm is not playing)
in MZ-X500 / MZ-X300

How I change the tones that play when the rythm is not playing? e.g. if i would like to make some intro holding just the chord before starting the rythm, or just for changing that default bass and strings to something else anyway.
I could see that those chords play in the mixer part A but changing there does not take effect since whenever i play the chord again it switches back to the defaults.
Is it possible to change on this keyboard? Thanks in advance!
