I wanted to update the firmware on CT X 3000, but immediately ran into a problem at the third point:
"While pushing the buttons (7,8,9) below simultaneously, turn on the Digital Keyboard."

I press buttons 7, 8, 9 simultaneously, nothing happens, the synthesizer does not turn on. Has anyone ever had such a problem?

Although the topic and question are quite old, there is a solution to this problem and it may be useful to someone else. The playback of a midi file can be recorded in a WAV recorder. To do this, run the midi file from a tablet or smartphone, for example, through the Synthesia program, and the tablet itself must be connected to the synthesizer via USB using an OTG adapter cable.
In this version, the WAV recorder will record everything normally, if you wish, you can even play along to the midi file and this will also be recorded.

Song sequencer casio contains a step-by-step event editor. It is certainly not that advanced, but you can always delete the wrong note and insert another note, you can also adjust the duration. and in the same place you can adjust the volume of the note (velocity). For me it is easier and faster than re-recording and inserting the recording every time.

How to create 3 layer tones on the CASIO CTK6xx - 7xxx series synthesizers.

Usually, such an opportunity, the creation of 3 layer timbres or otherwise, 3 instruments per right hand is provided only on fairly expensive models of synthesizers, however, on the CASIO CTK series models, a good mixer and this allows you to quickly create and use 3 layer timbres on these models of synthesizers.

The synthesizer must be in auto accompaniment mode as the layer 3 instrument will be used from auto harmony mode.

Step 1. Select the tool for the first layer.
Step 2. Turn on LAYER and select an instrument for the second layer, you can also go straight into the mixer and balance their overall sound.
Step 3. Press and hold the AUTOHARMONIZE button and select the 004 Octave auto harmony option. Press again on AUTOHARMONIZE and exit the auto harmony selection mode.
Now short press this AUTOHARMONIZE button and turn on the auto harmony mode itself.
By default, in the auto harmony mode, the instrument of the 1st layer will play on the 3rd layer, an octave lower, but you can put any instrument on this layer and make the sound in unison with other instruments of the layer.

This is incorrect information. Auto accompaniment on the CT-X3000 / CT-X5000 synthesizer is normally saved in midi format and then it can be played and edited in a midi editor on a computer. You can check it yourself
