Hi Peg and welcome to the Casio Forums. Sorry you are having problems with your PX-850. I don't think the PX-850 has a reset switch, but you may want to try unplugging it for 5 minutes or so to cycle the power and see if that clears it up. Worth a shot. If that doesn't work you will need to contact Casio's Canada Support Centre. They will let you know the repair process. Their info is listed at: http://www.casio.com/support/canadasupport/ContactInfo

AiR is a name for a group of features that helps with sound realism: http://www.casio-europe.com/euro/emi/airspecial/air/
PCM is "pulse code modulation" and is a generic term for saying the sounds are generated by using samples (ROMpler)
HPSS is Hybrid Processing Sound Source -- it means the XW synths have multiple ways of making sounds (solo synth, drawbar organ, hexlayer, PCM, samples)

It's a 1/4" jack so it is larger than the iPod jack (which is 1/8"). If all you have are headphones with the 1/8" plug you will need an adapter that looks like this:
(1/8" to 1/4" adapter)

Hi Scott and welcome to the Casio Forums. I am guessing he also turned the 'backup' function on, which will recall the current settings each time the piano is started. To toggle it on/off you hold 'FUNCTION" and press the highest "B" note on the keyboard. Let me know if this works or not. Good luck!

No do not open it up! There is an adjustment for the external volume under system settings. Try that and report back!
