Hi, it´s bimfood again 😅 - I´d like to share one of my selfmade tones - based on a choir sample. Sounds a bit fairlighdish. Have fun. Maybe the Sample Volume is much to loud. So be carefull with that. Also the Loop Points didn´t get the phase-walkthrough 100% accurate, so you will hear a little bit of crackling in the background. Fairlighdish Choir.ztn -

Hey guys, I´d like to share one of my Accordion Hex Layer Sounds. It is a French Style or German Polka Musette Sound. It is based on MZ-X500 internal Samples. Layer 1+2 - Sample No. 144 - French Accordion, detuned and paned Layer 3 - Sample No. 151 - Bandoneon - to put some sharp edges on top. - - Use Slider 3 Layer 4+5 - Square Waves, detuned, envelope detuned and paned - to give more fat to the sound Layer 6 - Sample No. 309 - Pipe Lead - just to add some dust in the Background Put some Reverb to it - I prefer a small room, with some pre delay Put some Delay to it - I prefer a short stereo one Feel free to use and have fun. After playing around with hex tones several hours, I think the MZ-X500 is a powerfull keyboard. - Simple to use - Presets are dull - Overall totaly underated instrument. (got mine for 330,- € 🙃)

Hi Brad, thanks for your advice. There is a difference between "Tone" and "Wave". For exmaple there is no wave with the name of the tone "X-Syn-Lead 5". Where can I see which wave is used for this tone?

I don´t use the knobs often. - I´m a preset-guy 😅 For the Filter Frequency I mostly konfigure the Modulation Wheel when it´s needed. The knobs I use for Upper or Lower Volume. For example to bring in some background strings, or a fantasia bell over a choir sound.

Okay, for now, I got a manual workflow: 1 - I save the tone as a user tone 2 - export it with the 'save tone'-function in the Media-menu 3 - Copy it to my computer and open it with the Sample Editor 4 - adjusting the parameters manual in Hex-Layer edit-mode on the keyboard hard work - Does anyone know a shorter way to do it?

Jokeyman - thanks. I noticed the difference in editing between tones an hex. I wondered about it too. where can i See the Samples which are used in the Factory tones?

Hi. I got an MZ X500. It is a nice Keyboard. Id like to combine some single tones in a hex laxer. Does anyone know how to Copy Tone Settings into Hex Layer Settings? For example the Sample which is used and the ADSR curves?
