And also pressing any registration setting resets split point to default. Can this be changed?
Yes by saving your preferred split point in that registration.

The split point could also be saved in any custom registration that you create.

That doesn't have anything to do with the model number. Thank you.

Could you post a picture of the box where it says CT-X5000C2 please?

There are not multiple versions of this product. Why he has is listed as a C2 is a mystery to me.

The sensitivity of the Touch Panel buttons can be changed in the SYSTEM menu. I have a feeling that this is causing the issue for some of you.

If it has MIDI in and out it can work with your PC, you simple will need a USB MIDI Interface such as this:

-
No, its on the front panel. I'll check mine and confirm exactly where it is.
-
Do you have one of the Performance Filters turned on? That would explain it.

No. You can't add effects on the CDP-S350 line input.
If you want to add effects through PC software the best route is to connect a mic to an audio interface on the PC directly.

If you set Cutoff to a knob instead a slider, the center position is the "stored value" and you can go -/+ from there.

No the CDP-S350 does not have a sampling feature.
-
Sounds like a physical issue that would need to be seen by an authorized warranty center.
-
Are you sure you're connecting to the line outputs not the line inputs?

Advantages of the PX-S3000 over the CDP-S350 (off the top of my head)
- Better piano sound and piano experience (damper resonance, string resonance, mechanical noises and more)
- Better and fully editable global effects
- Expression Pedal Input and 2 knobs for realtime control
- Tone editing and insert effects editing
- Higher polyphony
- Better speaker system
- USB Audio Recording
- Bluetooth Audio Input
- 1/4 Audio Outputs
- I'd also add the cosmetic appearance to the advantage list but the CDP-S350 is also pretty cool looking.
Mechanically the keyboard actions are very similar but there is additional patent pending technology in the PX-S3000 related to the action and how the piano sound respond. It has a better touch to sound connection that is more like a piano as opposed to a an electronic keyboard.

A registration bank with knobs preset and rotary speaker settings optimized available for download.

Tom,
The function of the performance controls like the knobs is tied directly to the registrations not to the individual tones. This gives you the ultimate flexibility to customize the functions the way you need them. As Brad stated earlier, set the knob configuration to the way you want and store it and it can be instantly recalled. This type of setup is actually common in newer stage pianos from other manufacturers as well and is not unique to Casio.

I see that you have posted a picture of a USB-B to C cable. Did the team in Japan use something similar?
Yes it was a USB-B to C cable that they used in the video.
-
I've read a cable like this will work for MIDI.
-
The fact that it works with your MacBook ensures the piano is working properly. The iPad Pro is absolutely compatible with your PX-S3000 and our team in Japan just sent us a video showing an iPad Pro with USB-C being used with our Casiotone keyboards which share the same USB chipset as the PX-S series.
Can you confirm that this is the Apple adapter that you're using?

ZZOUNDS will ship to Canada ... See this page https://www.zzounds.com/item--CASMZX500 - I have no affiliation with them except as a satisfied customer for many years.
It is against Casio's contract with zZounds and all other Casio America dealers to ship outside of the USA.
-
They're in stock at Casio USA - which is the distributor for Casio Canada.
High end arrangers like the MZ-X500 are a bit of a niche product and some dealers simply choose not to stock them.

@Mike Martin Do you think that I should contact warranty repair at Casio?
My dealer has not been supportive.
I'd like to know what dealer - please send me a PM.
Yes warranty would cover this since it arrived this way.
Accompaniment split point can't be saved? (X5000)
in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000

The FREEZE function can be set to ignore the split point that is stored in the registration. Page 69 of the manual.
