PX-130 All keys sounding an octave lower
Mike Martin replied to dannamite's topic in Privia x30 Series
Check the manual, you'll see a "Function + Key" combination labeled backup. Press Function and this key then turn it off and then back on. This should restore it to factory settings. -

Regular piano sound, please. Disable knobs, sliders, and wheels.
Mike Martin replied to TomAviv's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
I'll also add that if you don't touch the controllers you'll just have piano and nothing will be altered. Simply selecting the Stage Setting 0-0 again will reset any controller movements or alterations to the sound. -

The firmware update from 1.10 to 1.12 does not change any Stage Settings. Perhaps you loaded something else in. If you want to restore to the original go System Settings, scroll down and select INITIALIZE. The factory Stage Setting List can be found here: http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/file/88-px-5s-factory-stage-setting-list/ There are many additional piano Stage Settings and tones for you try. Here is a Piano Tone that you might want to try first: http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/file/52-eqd-grand-piano/ And another: http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/file/44-concert-grand-v2/

File Name: Brass Shake File Submitter: Mike Martin File Submitted: 23 Jun 2014 File Category: Strings, Brass and Orchestral A high velocity a "trill" or "shake" is triggered using the arpeggiator. The upper notes have a slightly lower velocity than the root notes for some extra authenticity. Use the TEMPO setting to adjust the speed to taste. Click here to download this file

The arpeggiator can be used for a trill. In fact I think there is already arpeggio or phrase built-in that is a trill. Also check out Stage Setting 6-9 (Maybe it is 5-9) the Latin EP/Flute has a trill using the arpeggiator that is velocity switched.

XW Online Clinic - Tuesday June 17th
Mike Martin replied to Mike Martin's topic in General XW Series Discussion
Planned topics so far: 1. Solo Synth: Programming Expressive Leads 2. Step Sequencer Controller Tracks 3. Step Sequencer - Master Filter trick 4. Performance Mode & Zones 5. Phrase Sequencing. At roughly 10 minutes per topic plus questions that should cover the hour. Chas, I'll work in as many of your suggestions as possible. -
If you can't tell by most of the sounds I create for the PX-5S - it is wonderful for ambient. Take some of the new Stage Settings like Magic or Orbiting - make some minor adjustments and make them your own. Just slow down the tempo of the arpeggio can make a different in how you play a sound. There is so much to explore.

Still pending, I had some personal issues that had me away from the office for a couple weeks right when I was in the middle of this project. I'll get back to it asap.
