Make sure your sequence is saved within part of a Performance. In the MIDI section of the Performance you can find the MIDI output assignments for each parts, this doesn't just include the 4 zones that can be played from the keyboard. Here you can choose any of your sequence tracks to be transmitted out the MIDI or USB outputs.
Sorry I don't have access to a XW at the moment to give you a more detailed response.

Tnicosin,
I didn't make this forum, neither did Casio. Our friend and Casio enthusiast Chaos did. We are really happy to have a central location where people can discuss our products ask and find answers to questions.

Store the settings you like as registrations. It will store accompaniment (fingering) settings, tone settings, tempo and more.

There is an AUDIO tab on the left side of the Data Editor. This is where you take files that are on your computer and convert them to play back on the XW-P1 / G1.
The Editor has a manual that comes with it. It is a separate download.

On page 24 of this manual it explains that the .wav file has to be converted and this the Data Editor will handle the conversion. On the following pages it explains the steps but you simply drag a file from the left side to the right side and it will be converted and copied to your SD card. You have to put the .wav files that you want to convert in your Documents/CASIO/EMI/DataeditorP1/WaveData folder for them to appear here.

The files have to be converted using the computer editor. Unfortunately the XW series requires a sample rate of 42kHz not 44.1kHz

Pitrak,
First make sure you have the firmware update in your XW-G1.
To check your firmware version
On your XW-G1 instrument, press the [POWER] button to turn on the instrument.
Press the "SETTING" button to display the setting screen.
If you can not find "INFO" under "MIDI" in the list, the firmware version of the instrument is less than 1.10. You need to download this update software and install it on the instrument.
If you can find "INFO" and press [ENTER] to display the version confirmation screen, the firmware version of the instrument is the number which is displayed.
You can find the update here:

Next, don't forget that when you change the sync mode on the XW series you have to restart it. I haven't used the XW-G1 with a Kaoss Pad 3 but with other product I've had it sync without issue.

Hey guys, welcome to the forum! This should be great and will allow us all to learn more about our great instruments. I've been using the XW's longer than anyone (aside from the R&D group at Casio Tokyo) and I still discover new things all the time. The depth of the XW's are pretty amazing. I'm working on a new video demo using both the XW-P1 and XW-G1 at the same time. I hope to have it done the first week of December.
See you soon,
-Mike

The samples are very similar. The WK series has the flexibility of changing insert effects and saving user tones. This can't be done on a PX-330.

Hey BossandBob,
This should go in the WK section, not the XW-series. I'll move it. You can create your own Intro Pattern using the Pattern sequencer. That pattern can be just chords. Even easier, you can simply remove the drum part using the rhythm editor.

The firmware updater application has been updated since that intial problem back in May. This is the first problem I've heard of since back then. Sorry but your XW will have to be replaced. You can send me a Private Message here and I can try to facilitate something directly through Casio or you can contact your dealer.
