Check the manual, you'll see a "Function + Key" combination labeled backup. Press Function and this key then turn it off and then back on. This should restore it to factory settings.

Look in the Synth Set 1 for 808 sounds and Synth Set 2 for 909. Don't forget there is an extra kick drum below C2 (the lowest C) on B1. You have to use the Octave switch to get to it.

You need to update the firmware on your PX-5S. I suspect you have version 1.00, almost all the files (with some exceptions) require v1.10 or higher.
