Ok let me be a lil more clear lol. Lets look at my G1. All is fine, then i turn my sync mode to slave and my tempo light shuts off, and as a result the arpeggiator, step sequence, and anything related to tempo stops working. I made my P1 the master and shut them both off and turn them back on together, but my G1's tempo is still dead unless i turn the sync off . Im trying to have my G1 follow its master's tempo but it just gives up and shuts off all tempo related tools.

Hi! Im trying to use my P1 as the master and G1 as the slave, but i dont understand what the point is. Ok so without MIDI my keyboards funcion normal. The moment i add midi to the mix setting my P1 as the master and my G1 as the slave, my G1's arp, phrase, step sequencer shut off and no sound is made. I thought it would sync my keyboards not disable one. Is what im trying to do possible or am i doing something wrong? Midi is like my worst enemy! It always kept me from using my previous synths to their full potential. Luckily there is this forum

All this talk about the Xw-P1 is making me jealous! Ordered mine last night and its getting here tomorrow morning I was gonna get the PX-5S, because i like how its filters sound and the piano, but that thing is huge and i wouldnt have space for it in my room lol. It was a hard choice, but i needed to reunite the XW twins! Im more of a dance/trance/techno/R&B player so i guess XWs fit me better. I will still get the PX-5S in the future since i love the piano sounds and could come in handy who knows.

Ahhh im gonna play around with your technique... i've been dying to make a bass like that but i recently started making stuff on the G1 so im in noob mode right now

So i've been wanting to sample some sounds into my G1, but i lack the resources. Do you guys know where i can buy synth sound waves like this one ABYSS C3.wav? (im refering to the format not the sound itself since i can easily sample something like this) I dont have any software like fruity loops or anything like it, so for now i prefer raw waves that i can import to my G1 and edit them from there. I've been to some websites that sell waves for software like fruity loops but i dont really know if i can sample those since i dont have FL. It would be nice to know before possibly wasting my money.

Thanks! I selected the tone MelowSawLead and turned the cut off all the way up, then saved it as a new user, then on performance I selected my user MelowSawLead on zones 1-4 (all of them). Then Zone 1 = Octave -1, Fine Tune=12 Rev Send=40 Cho send=48 Zone 2 = Octave 0, Fine Tune=-12 Rev Send=80 Cho send=0 Zone 3 = Octave 1, Fine Tune=7 Rev Send=80 Cho send=0 Zone 4 = Octave 0, Fine Tune=0 Rev Send=80 Cho send=0 Now this is very important with these type of sounds i noticed. Using the Master equalizer crank the 'High' all the way up. I left it at 8.0 KHZ since i dont know what that is for lol. Optional: you can play with the release on one of the K-knobs to make it sound even fuller depending on the situation. Also Fine tuning zone one from 12 to 25 and zone 3 from 7 to 14 can sometimes sound awesome depending on the tone you selected to do this. I use the set up above as a template for other tones when i wanna make big synths. Enjoy!

And those lead synths sounds came just from the G1? Nice dude. I like the lead that sounds like VA synth 3 but of course with your own personal touch.

Is there a way to manage the G1's midi messages so that i can assign X message in my G1 to be triggered by Y message from a foreign source? So far all i've been able to do with my synth is plug and play midi with whatever factory setup it has which i dont even know, but no options to customize the commands. Lets just say im having problems controlling my G1 from another device and i can only control the tone selector. In my personal opinion im thinking this synth is Midi-ed using NRPN's, but im not sure if thats the case or im just thinking something that doesnt even make sense. Any help would come in handy thank you.

Hello guys this is not really a full song its just a small phrase, but its still music . Im into dance music, well really any kind of electronic music, so i've been trying for the longest time to make chorded synth lead sounds that sound thick and full like what you hear in the radio without having to sample one from my other equipment. I think i came pretty close to something here. What do u think? I dont have a trained ear for sounds so plz critiques are welcome. That is interesting mike im gonna try something similar on my G1 and see how it sounds since im close to buying one of the 2 synths but just like paragone said im more of a short keybed guy. I really want that P1 but if i must get the privia then privia it is.

Wow that was a quick answer. Thanks both of you. Im sorry but im probably the biggest newb when it comes to midi. Been running from it all my life lol. I got that right but i dont know what comes next after that, still nothing. I turned off the local control on my G1 but still no sound. Is there something i am missing or doing wrong?

Oh I also got issues with Midi. Im trying to midi another synth using my midi ports but im unsure how to connect the midi 'in' 'out'. Im trying to use my G1 as a controller for another synth, so in what order do i connect the ins and outs?

Ohh yea it was you who i downloaded it from. It works thanks a ton! Im so exited this is the first time i got a synth that can do this kind of stuff. I sampled a high quality sound from my Korg Kaossilator and my G1 can play it now with the same quality. If i had only known i could do this earlier... My G1 has now become the most valuable piece of equipment i got. I didnt know what i had till last couple of days wow just wow. My friends will look like they've seen a ghost when they hear my harmless looking synth just chilling there roaring like a lion

Hello guys this post answered a lot of questions and was very helpful. I found out the other day that i can import waves to my G1 and play them on the keyboard which is amazing! I downloaded a square wave sound from the forums and i noticed that unlike my waves, the sound holds as long as i keep the keys pressed. Could anyone please help me understand how to make my userwaves loop contiuously as long as i have the keys pressed? Thank you!
