  1. Hello,

maybe (probably) a silly question, but I stuck on that.

I have an sampling CD from the nineties with wav files. This wav contains the sampled waveforms for C0, C1, C2 and so on with pauses in between but all samples of each sound in one wav. I look for an tool to auto (re)sample the individual samples into multiple wav files wich I can then further process in the MZ-X sample manager. I knew hardware samplers do that but I look for an conveniant way to do that on my PC.

Of course I can slice the samples out by hand but this is not comfortable.

So, how can I make multisamples from an WAV sample library CD with PC tools only?

    Thank you!

  2. Hello,

I hooked up my Yamaha SY99 to my MZ-X 500 to see what Aftertouch can do to the sounds.

I found that the sounds, when played over Midi where much quieter and less dynamic than those played on the MZ-X Keyboard. As I have no other Keyboard to crosscheck if this is related to the SY99 or the MZ-X I feel free to ask if something like this happend to one of yours.

I look for an midi Volume option in the settings but I havent found such one.

    Thank you!

The keyboard is the same, and even the update is the same 1.61 as the new models. What has changed is the label and with the Rhythms Pack samples and I believe the official Casio BR pack in megabytes is the biggest it has. Around 55 megabytes.

I think the Casio's competitive price helped with the provision of new units. In other countries like Europe, the USA does not have the high taxes that here, which facilitates the purchase of more expensive equipment.

Thanks very much for sharing. As I see, unfortunately the link to the Peru Kit is brocken. Do you have a backup or can you contact the hoster in portugues (maybe better than me in englisch ?) to take care of this?

Yeah-open source-what Google stole from the Android/Linux developers, and has worked hard to make millions (billions?) from trying to confiscate their open source code and make all of us have to pay him to use it. Like Bill Gates did when he paid peanuts for taking general dynamics (I think that's who he bought it from) GUI and calling it his.

This is the essence of the form of society that we have been cultivating for some thousand years and it is called success.
Did Edison invented the lightbulb? So much like Bell the telephone. Were the Wrights really the first powered aviators like we get learned from smithonian? Probably.
Who cares, elbows are what counts in this society.
And why? It is always rewarded. Heads up, the future is bright ;-)
  5. Hi,

I enjoy the show yesterday. I think the CT-S1000V have a good chance to find it's way to me as I have no battery powered keyboard right now and its sounds source is fine for me and the vocal synth makes me curious. So such an lightweight companion suits me just fine.

To the critcs: Of course I always would have seen this or that option on top with pleasure and I ask myself some similiar questions but I think it is hard to make it fit for everyone. There are lot of hard ti fight semi or pro arranger keyboards out there and for it's niche the S1000V is well done. Gave him an atrractive price tag and we become friends.

The vocal synth has great abilities. May the sampling function be rudimentary as always I see great potential in creation of own vocalists. This will rise and fall with the quality of the app. So if this is done right you can have everything (soundwise) for an vocalist.

I am also courius about the haptic of the big knobs. Have to view some reviews as well as reading specs and manual later today.

No thanks. I've had polymoogs, played minimoogs

Ahh, these moogs, these moogs.... I buy an phatty, I sell the phatty, I buy an Voyager XL along the whole set of foogers (me a idiot, I should have buy crypto instead 💲💲💲🤑...), I sell the Voyager and the foogers (me a idiot twice, I should have'nt sell them and if, I should have buy crypto for the cash 💲.....), I buy an phatty, sell the phatty.....it seems this story have still some potential....😂

Worth to note. From the Voyager sale I build me an huge modular at least, a fine capable synthesizer, still here, but almost worthless because its selfmade and not popular branded so nobody will give me a good penny for that. Today it is often more important to have a name. Quality? Who cares if it's bought.

Sorry for being off topic a little.

I've seen these instruments change peoples lives.

Thank you! Well said. This is the essence. Casio always changes paradigms with their unconventional and experiemental view of things. Not everything works perfectly, something have could be more polished, yes, but often it brings up new "weird" ideas, concepts and possibilities to the masses for small money.

I wish Casio keep that inventiveness for the future. It's not Casios job to push away an Genos or K2700, it's their job to challenge them with funny while musical things for a price that everyone can pay. And I think that foremost of musicians in not so well developed countries (we "here" can have one of the named above if we really urgently "need" them). Just remember Sleng Teng. Casio is always good for an revolution. Do them.

You know who else is a good player to watch-Chico Marx-notice how he plays melodies-he literally pointed himself to notes

Good suggestion! Really impressive play style of Mr. Marx, funny but so skilled, wow! It seems he have infinite time to point at this notes before striking the key. I find myself starring at his index finger for the now...now...now...to late 🤣 Thank you for that!

  9. Hello forum,

I got an PX-560m lateley with the stand SP3 pedal included. The PX-560m is nice for the price!

Now I am looking for an SP-33 Padel but they are not available anymore.

So I have the idea to buy an SP-34, solder that little Socket in parallel to the SP-33 socket to have an more versatile pedal.

Has this been done already and how are your experiences? Or anybody has to sell an SP-33 in fine condition in central europe?

    thank you!
