Thank you Choppin yes maybe the USB Stick was faulty.,.on the 2nd try all went fine....

Strange update for me ...first start was ok ,.,after a while the update stops " Wrong Data Error !" so i decide to download the update.bin again ....i did a fresh firmware update but it starts at the point where tge update was broken so the " nefect , songs , DSP ! Yes you can completely use the touch screen ,,,,why i am using it becaus my PX5S is ----120cm away from my Monitor / Mac and i have to try out new programmed sounds on the fly...of course i could plug out my PX5 and put it in front of my Mac but .....i like to leave all in place.... also this was just a test i did to try out working completely with the IPad without sitting in front of my Mac..

i wonder why you feel there sound are more keyboardish ,,,,from the update there where minmal changes ...?that´s what Mike say in his post .-

yes you can always go back to an older Version i did this with the 1.12 ...then i went back to .1.11 and again to 1.12. without problems!

well finaly i tried a nice peace of software the "air display" for the IPAD and mac or PC .,...you only need to install on ipad / Pc or Mac and your IPad turns into a 2nd screen you can use editor on it....so you can manage every software from your Tablett´s screen with touch or mouse..

of course Scott but if it not connected to the wall using battery there should not be a train running in my homestudio suspect there was a production error and someone by Casio forgot to take off the WHITE NOISE SAMPLE from the usb Port or was itt a pink noise...hmmmmm

yes but i also had usb noise with the PX5S and a Ipad MINI ..

yes could be nice to try out your mids... i also have a ton of drum samples ...i tried to convert them with the PX5S Converter Software but a lot of them did not start right there was always a liitle precount in the drum pattern.... i also can record a pattern from my Korg IX300 as a Backing Sequenze and doing a export to SMF... maybe this could also help creating a good Library of Drums for the PX5

same to me yesterday i tried all kind of switches, midi cables and the noise was terrible then today i did something completely new i tried to connect my ipad mini to the m-track audio usb card and then the midi from the px the m-track .....and voila....nothing....power to low..so i decide to use a itecom USB Hub and the setup was running but,,still noises even without the PX5S USB.... so the noise was generated by the USB AUDIO INTERFACE finaly i tried my old Belkin USB Hub for the mini-mac and ,,,,,WOW no noises nothing ,,silence,,,pure ,,,only the Ipad Mini DAW and the PX5 Sounds.... so i think using a hub with Power Adapter can help but ..it must be a good one with high graded chips inside,..... yeah looks like a super puzzle in my home ....i remember my good old Grand Piano with a lot of strings inside..no USB no MIDI no POWER Cable..

o would like to have my PX5S conected to the M Audio FastTrack and also my Korg IX 300 to use the PX5 as Master and the IX as slave... the M_track is connected to my Mac to have Soundquest and DAW...how do i set this to have all connected with my Mac ! i also have a TASCAM FIREONE if this could help to make a better setup... Korg IX has midi IN OUT TRUE..... PX5 IN OUT (software true) M-Track IN OUT kindly Maurizio

well actually i am happy with my PX5S ...Sounds are great ..playing is fun but if only casio would provide a Drum Bank for the Arpeggio of phrases...i know it is possible doing it but it is hard to get the right drift and i think a good mix of different styles would upgrade the PX5 a lot.....yes i also tried converting midi to drum ...but it does not sound as good...

yes same to me ...if i plug my USB midi in the ipad and the audio out to the input of the px5 i have noise if i plug of the usb all its gone...there is a problem in the px5s with usb...

nop i wonder how the px5 handles midi files playback ,.,..does it setup the sounds by itself or does it depend on the stage setting i am on and the mixer settings ?
