Funny because for me the Nylon and Steel are the only usable sample in the Px5 for Guitars

the CC64 Target ( Hold ) is not only working with values 0 and 127 if you setup the max value to for example  65 you have a shorter

amount of Holding ....

so setting up Pedal 1 with  min 0 and max 127 gives you the full time of sustain...

if you now setup pedal 2 also to CC64 and the amount of the max value to 60 you have a shorter sustain maybe it is also possible to tweak the tone to have a litte softer sound using the CC Soft on T2  ..don´t know if this helps but it´s funny what we can do with the PX5S

Check my Guitar pack on casioforums...MauVan i try from the beginning to create them slowly i understand that for example the charange is a good base for hendrix like and the clavinet to make funky guitars in hex.layers use your ears and fantasie to recreat guitar and use the casio guitars only like salt and pepper to add. When i start in hexlayeers i always play with it like it was an analog with sinus square and noise then i go later into the sample waves samples are to static and the filters give you not su much to change the timbre.

yes there are some, yesterday my guitar patch did not stop sounding after  switching to another stage Setting, changing  tones there was always one hex tone continous playing...until take the px5s off..

and i have problems with the Buttons not be recognized...i really Need a download for the 1,11 Firmware to check if this is happen also in the 1.11

would...be strange having hardware problems after 6 month i own this ...

i have some drum phrases in my PX5S from addicted Drums....and if i set it up on Zone one with Phrases and Note to FiX it starts fine but i hear for example the Bass Drum on every key i hit !

Is there a way to start the drum to be played on the first note and then not on every key i press this drives me Crazy

maybe if you try with a DAW in your computer like Cubase and select midi messages you could try to do this with an midipedal ...

very tricky effect i have playesd around a bit and it works very different depending on the sound you choose....in the uper levels it is terrible to listen so it works for me only like a little bell adding effect....anyway i still think some is missing here ,,.,the Phase Modulation....

i have played a bit with my Addictive Drum in Cubase and i found that none of the Px5S Drum Maps are conform to the output

of Addi.....so i wonder wich way is the best setting up a new KIt in the PX5S assigng the Sounds with GM Drum map or setting up

a drum map inside of cubase or Addicitv ?

Maybe some already made a GM drummap and likes to share it

i also tried several times to play along with my PX5S and Logic and some Soft Instruments but i stopped using it ,,,

because it is tricky to set it up the 4 zones the rest of the mixer ....

Maybe the piano man can soften your Hammer on the Yamaha,,,anyway i enjoy you like my patches and i am still working the make the Pianist 3 even better ..... MauVan

Hi mike about switching my px always makes heavy sounds switching from one soind to another sometimes so strong that i have to drop the headphones

how can i record only the Knobs / Sliders in a phrase without playing a sound ? .....i like to use it to controll the sound later ...

yes i also know the ringmodulator was used to give sound a bell charakter,,,,but in the Px5S this effect  gives me always a non usable output...it doesn´t mater how i set  it up or what kind of wave i use...i can´t get in harmony with it ,,,my first synth was the CZ1 then a VZ1 later a Korg DS9 and DW8000

after this a M1 & M3 and i have played with the Ringmodulator but this time i think it is very minimal to use it maybe it is a problem of the routing

oi think the RM should modulate the wave like an LFO or the Phase of the waves.....anyway maybe CASIO is willing to substitute this effect with another one if this is made by software....?

May i ask what you mean with regular ? Did you try to dissable the effect and looking if it is ok then the compressor and eq and recheck just to find out if.it is a sound comming from the internal dsp ,,,,,or programm an empty patch with only sinus no effect no master eq and comp and play with sliders,,,knobs and check if.still there

i can turn it around and around i can´t find any use for the ringmodulator in the old

DX / CZ sinthys there was a phase shifting and a modulation of it with ringmod if i remember

but like an Effect ? so ,,,,would this not be a good sostitution adding a stereo spread effect or some else well if you have programmed a cool sound with it let me know ....

could it be your firmware is broken ? did you try to reinstall a fresh downloaded version, of course seems strange but ,my PX5

was different after few upgrades maybe sometime there is something not writen or ...i don´t know,,,

what i did was a completely reset of the px5 then a fresh install of 1.12 and a reset again and the a reloading of my

backup....

als check settings for the resonance & co ...if i have resonance on 15 i have lot of overtones in the pianos....

 yes my PX5 works fine for 2 days now i have the problems again with buttons not being recognized on pushing....this time it was on the stage setting side Bank 2 

i had to push it over 10 times to work then it came back again .....and i hade to push lot of times...

the last time it was on the tone buttons so i can say it is a problem after the update never happened before and my PX5S i only at home no smokers and 

i clean it up after every playing....

i would like to reinstall version 1.11 but i can't find a download section
