  1. Am I doing something wrong? When I tried to get the PDF list of tones printed out (the online appendix to the manual you can download), Adobe Reader told me I could not do that because the Casio PDF document was locked (it says "Secured" at the top of the PDF). I couldn't get it converted from PDF to Microsoft Word either, which is an option built into Adobe Reader (if the PDF is not "Secured"). This makes no sense to me, why would this be locked? It's not like this PDF contains national secrets, it's actually very useful to have a printed out copy of the tones residing within this keyboard so that I can cross out the Tones that I don't like and highlight the Tones that I do. It's not practical to memorize which of the 800 tones I actually want to use and combine. The ideal thing would be to have it in spreadsheet form, which would make it easy to create categories of sound. Anyone interested in such a project? I'd gladly do part of it in Microsoft Excel and set up the format if others want to pitch in on the effort of typing in the names of all the tones in a spreadsheet.
  2. Yeah, I've got a Crate Limo- 50 watts into a 10" speaker, plug it in when you get home, works great. It's just that i I wanted to find something that was fairly loud by itself, and of course rechargeables are a lot cheaper. It is great however that the board will run on batteries. Was wondering- how loud would you describe the WK-7500 to be? If you've heard the Korg SP-280 (plug in power), at 22w x 2, that describes the EXTREMELY LOUD end of the spectrum. Some of the lower end boards are not that much beyond conversational loud. I haven't had a chance to try out the 7500 yet and am very curious.
  3. Unfortunately that discussion doesn't really say why other than the lower 1.2 volts. Doesn't make sense- alkaline batteries, when run down, go below 1.2 volts. I wonder as well if there were rechargeables that ran at 1.5 volts if they would be OK. I'll probably run a 12 volt battery (motorcycle sized) and power the board through the ac adapter in.
  4. Checking out manual before buying board. Want to use at parties, park, etc. The big selling point are the speakers and the battery power. The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries!!! That would make the battery operation unfeasible. Please tell me it's not so!!!
