  1. ahh, okay thanks Brad. At least you've saved me from flogging a dead horse
  2. I'll try and post a pic...ahhh sorry my bad, just re-opened the manual the first line in the box is only stating what options are available...I misread it to be another option. Ok, so in that case when I do select that I get no midi thru from the MIDI in. I have confirmed there is data from an external controller being seen at MIDI in, but nothing is showing at out. If I change to the KEY option, I then get no external midi data. So obviously I am mis-reading this data section. I am trying to have a zone on the keyboard send note data out EITHER USB or MIDI, I am not fussed either way BUT I also need the external controller data to go out the same method. I have played around with the settings and cannot get anything other than notes out, either MIDI or USB.
  3. Nope, and yes.... those are the only options which I already alluded to Brad...read what is SUPPOSED to be there in the manual... and further if you select MIDI or USB for that MIDI out setting, the keybed is actually disconnected from the MIDI out 🤔
  4. So on page 41 of the Advanced User Guide, it clearly states an option for MIDI out to come from what is coming in MIDI in (basic MIDI thru function). However this option is NOT available on the actual keyboard! Instead of the four options outlined in the manual only three are on the keyboard. The 3rd one - MIDI (MIDI IN): Messages input via MIDI IN (MIDI THRU) is not there....so afaics there is NO way to have what is coming in the MIDI in to go out either MIDI OUT or USB OUT without actually turning off the keyboards internal sound connection. If there is some "hidden" thing here I am open to suggestions.
  5. Simply by using the Audiofront MIDI Expression iO! (the yellow one https://www.audiofront.net/MIDIExpression.php ) Does cost a bit, but now with the simple addition of this small device (that can actually get the power needed from the MEDIA USB port) the PX now has expression and half-pedaling....happy days! Sorry if this one has been covered previously, but it might help late adopters of the PX??
  6. For example the hex tone 6 Draw Organ, when loaded into part 1, the MW turns leslie on and off as expected, however if I use the exact same settings on an organ in part 3 or 4, the MW turns leslie on but not off?? Is it because this will only work on a part using hex layers only?
  7. Thanks Choppin - although I would then need a midi interface for the iPad, correct? So I could send the usual note data to apps I mean. Unless I am misunderstanding of course
  8. The problem is there is no MIDI thru function...well not afaics anyway.
  9. So how does one actually use the expression pedal? I have the MIDI Solutions Controller box, and I can get it to work internally, but I cannot seem to get it to transmit via MIDI or USB? Any ideas? Are there some vids somewhere on this? I did a quick hunt on YT but had no joy.
  10. Thanks Tom...appreciate the help here. Yep running stereo. According to the MIDI spec sheet. the Speed is parameter 1 for the standard rotary and 3 for the distorted..which is how I set them. Did not think to look at the brake! I'll check that - that could very well be it! I'll let you know!
  11. Thanks Tom - I still cannot get it to make any "noticeable" difference. I can sorta kinda hear something happening...but it's certainly nothing like the organ sims I have been using on other keyboards. On those you can clearly hear the effect coming in and out!
  12. didn't realise it was so difficult - no wonder i cannot get it to work!
  13. How do you assign the Mod Wheel to rotary speed? I have found the parameter number is 3 (in this particular DSP) but when I assign parameter three to the Modulation (in Stage Setting Common) it has no affect? Can anyone possibly advise what I am doing wrong or indeed NOT doing? Thanks
  14. cool thx Tom - yep you had it right!
  15. I am trying to save system settings but cannot find a way to do this - auto resume, auto off, keybed touch, panel lock etc all revert to some factory setting every time I turn it off an on....any ideas? thanks
  16. Are there any organ samples without any keyclick? or at least ones that are adjustable? I am looking at the 6 draw organ stage file and the key click is too loud for my taste...but I cannot find anywhere I can adjust it so I am assuming it is part of the underlying sample (8' organ 1). Thanks
  17. Cool, thx m8 - yep, that was good info, very helpful!
  18. Hey Choppin any follow up here? or was the one reply the limit of my quota? hahahaha!!
  19. thanks Choppin, yeah sorry, I wasn't clear in my OP.Creating a phrase to play this automatically with a Stage Setting is exactly what I want to do. Except the phrase would be slightly different on a per song basis. I'll have a try of your tip though, sounds interesting PS: When you say write back, can you explain what you mean by that please?
  20. So I am trying to find ways to keep the px5 - several things are causing me to look elsewhere, but I like the keybed and some other operational things, so I am genuinely looking to keep it (tried the 560 and it went back!) Now if I can figure this, then maybe it will help the decision, hahaha! What I am after is to be able to have a simple kick drum only beat, similat to me using my kick stomp pedal http://www.peterman.com.au/music/stompboxes/Bass-stomp-puck-pro example say, doof..doof..doof..doof, and variations and syncopations on that theme, but all juts a kick drum only.. Now is it true that drums can ONLY be assigned to Zone 1? What if I need to use two Hex tones? Can I create a Hex that will allow this drum pattern AND say a hex bass for example?
