  1. Damn haha...that would have been handy - or an MZ 76/88 note board do reckon its something that could be added via a firmware upgrade?
  2. ok thanks...it was one that showed the various midi port assignments mong other things:)
  3. yep, got some basses created by Dave W I want to port over from the px-5
  4. I was sure in my scanning of the 560 forum that someone posted a link to a midi spec sheet for the PX-560? Maybe it was for something else, but as I cannot locate it again i cannto check. So IS there some sort of midi spec sheet so I can determine if I can send midi data to the 560 from an iPad app (not SetlistMaker haha) to change regisrations and/or tones and other objects. Thanks
  5. Yep! brand new 560...happens when I go to the edit pages and start using the scroll wheel, it just locks and I have to either wait (sometimes a couple of minutes) or reboot the 560 if it stalls totally.
  6. I believe you get an additional two years warranty if you register your new 560, but how do I do this in Australia? When I try the registration page, I only get USA/Canada options.
  7. Thanks. Regarding your last sentence - are you saying that the patterns CAN be edited on a DAW and then re-imported to the 560? If so how do you extract the MIDI data? Or do you simply record the data from MIDI out into the DAW? I wouldn't mind editing a few of the drum beats to be honest haha!
  8. On page EN-11 it states " "" I tried connecting an external device to the input jack, and NO effects are heard? So this must be a typo perhaps?
  9. Just trying to create a HEx tone - only to discover there are no GM Finger Bass tones? Unless they are in a different location to the other GM basses?
  10. Just got the 560 and I'm putting it through its paces. Very disappointing to see on the arranger side, all you have is volume for the WHOLE arrangement, including bass drums. Wish there was volume for each part of the arranger section.
  11. Hi Joe - as I wrote on the FB page : FWIW I think I found the cause....seems if I turn off Hi-Res, and then let the PX turn off by the Auto Time Off setting, it restores the Hi-Res setting to on. If I manually turn off the PX the Hi-Res setting of OFF is retained
  12. Okay so I know that we can turn off Hi Res MIDI in settings, but how do you keep it off permanently? Seems when I jump patches or turn the PX on and off it is turned back on. I didn't think System settings were saveable within a Stage Setting??
  13. I need some different brass patches that are non hex layer (IE I cannot run in either slot 1 or 2) - are there any about? Thanks
  14. Thanks Brad. I already use backing tracks, and it is for this reason I am looking for something a bit more live and dynamically variable!
  15. Seems like I'd be better off looking at say a Korg micro arranger ...'cept the small keys would be a pain haha! Although the pads on the mzx DO intrigue me and pique the "gear lust" hahaha!
  16. yeah I did the same thing dfahrner - however sometimes things do work even though not in the manual (check a few Roland keyboards hahaha!)
  17. Yeah I hear what you are saying there Brad. But if I want pre-programmed I'll just use BIAB Real Tracks No I am looking for totally live. Now afaik the PX 5S buttons actually transmit a program change message when activated, so if a variaton button on the MZ can accept MIDI in, AND the message can be a PC instead of just a CC, then we are in business. In regard to manually using the buttons - well you try singing, playing left hand basslines right hand keys and trying to quickly jump your hand up to a second tier 'board to tap the button at exactly the right time...could be problematic. Although it may be that the MZ was really only designed for home use, (viz yamaha PSR series) with no alternate usage envisaged, in which case it would (probably) be the only 'board, ergo - none of the above matters haha!
  18. I am thinking of buying one of these and adding it to my PX-5S. But as it would be on a second tier, accessing the variation buttons while playing left hand basslines and right hand keys could be problematic haha! Although not so much if I am actually playing the MZX by itslef as they are closer. So the question is, can the variation buttons be controlled via MIDI commands, and if so, can these be assigned to PC messages? (as that is all that is transmitted by the PX-5 Stage Setting buttons. Alternatively could the variation buttons be contolled by a footswitch (viz Behringer FCB 1010)? Thanks
  19. So, I have a volume level set for a part, and I have EXP set to use slider 2, and slider 2 is enabled for the part. The slider works, however it's starting setting (0) is not being saved with the SS. the SS loads with the EXP at full? How do you get the desired setting to save with the SS? Thanks
  20. JEEZ!!! but neither of those say WHY resonance will not work....how to set the sliders and what sliders do (which is what those posts are about) I already know.
  21. What are those responses? I KNOW how to set sliders for parts and how to use them. I want to know is there some factory block on the firmware for blocking resonance for pianos. Can someone else post something more intelligible?
