  1. This is beautiful, Steve. Was good to come home from work and hear this.
  2. Here is my latest, wanted to give the drum machine a test with tune. Not my submission for Synthjazz Sunday, I'll do it on day of. Just wanted to get my new gadgets before attempting. Remember this isn't official, just trying out the Alesis in action. Check this one out- Benjamixx-DasSaxxocore
  3. Haha, you're forgiven, it's that late nighter effect, I understand it. I checked out your newest track. I'm digging it man. In all honesty, I could hear this track in an RPG- Maybe for a new Golden Sun revamped for the Wii-U. It brings back memories of "The Lost Age" on GameBoy Advance I used to spend hours on as a kid. It gives off good feelings.
  4. 4 is just fine for a start, just like playing on the ol' N64. I think we're ready to go to our first "SJS". And you used the "C" word(contest)! I label it as an event. I just think it's a great way for people to express their unique style of jazz. I say, I say, let's get this party started.
  5. I recently sold my microKorgXL on ebay. I loved it for it's many tweaks in the instruments and vocoder capabilities. The Sound Editor program they offer for it made it that much better. Only downside(To me) was that it didn't have a recording/save interface(There are ways around this obviously). it's nothing like the XW-P1(Korg, get burned!) Right after I sold it, and purchased a KP3+ lol. Can't wait to get it.
  6. As you surely understand-humans are social creatures by nature(I know, cliche). I did away with Facebook about 2 years ago(Was plugged in for about 1 year myself), can't deal with that crap. Difference is, Facebook is a place for various people with many backrounds/beliefs/perspectives who can blurt out all their one-sided opinions about the world into a small comments box and talk lowly about one another. Most(like myself when I had a profile) hurt others and don't realize it. It makes everyone look like an a$$. This website pertains to musically/electronically related topics, everyone here is more on the same page. I tell ya, if theres anything we all can understand, it's music. Excuse me, I think I need to go to the bathroom and cry... I touched myself... Oh my, that came out not as I had desired.
  7. Oooh congrats! You lucky guy you ;P. I'm so jelly.
  8. Smooth! Love the theme of it too. If I was at a club after a few drinks and this song played, guaranteed I would be getting pretty disorderly
  9. Hmmm... That was unintentional.. Must have been my years of playing Dance Dance Revolution and Pump it up that influenced it in some way lol. Thank you
  10. Thank you, glad it turned came out to your liking
  11. Indeed! I may do that further down the road. It would take a little bit longed to match things up with to the beat... I could be wrong. But this is a project I intend to revisit.

    Sd card

Hi Leon, XW series supports up to the 32gb standard SD card(Not micro unless you have an adapter) if you want but, I think 8gb is just fine. I have a 16gb card and I only use about 1mb-3mb per entirety(Performance settings, Phase, Chain, Patterns) I would save the money.
  13. An improvised "Real" time beat. I made in the Step sequencer(Free of chains!) Hope you likety likey. http://soundcloud.com/yunggoat/beatsnbells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eoS06bQdw4
  14. Haha! Love it! I put one in for 3rd week as well. Was ' ' < this close to clicking "Are we still in Kansas toto?"
  15. I agree, it would be a handful to have to do it every week. Like, bad finger pains. and, of course, many who don't have the time to compose in a short time A poll is a great idea, you set it up, let's get this hedgehog rolling!
  16. That's good to hear. I been digging through youtube reviews about the SR-18, it seems like a sure thing. Glad to hear it coming from a fellow Cassior . You definitely know your way around your electronics, it turned out well. And that's my ideaology: As long as you have fun doing it, it's all gravy on potatoes *hunger cramp activated
  17. So, happyrat1 and I last night whipped us up some juicy jazz trax. And we got to thinking we should have a little jazz event every Sunday(Or once a every month,TBD). You would create a single track same day(traditional/sub genres i.e. Smooth, fusion, bebop, whatever your thang is), and post it in the "share your music here" thread with "Synthjazz Sunday" as the topic. It's not a competition so you don't have to pull an all-nighter trying to top everyone(Ahem* Ratty jk, don't hurt me D:). If anyone is interested feel free to join us in our jazzathon. Any questions? ask away. Edit: Sorry, I did forget to mention (as stated by happyrat1 later in this thread) that your final project should be recorded(In MP3 preferably and uploaded to soundcloud/youtube or whatever site you use and you will link it in the official Synthjazz Sunday thread that I will post on the day of the event.
  18. Always gotta 1-up me, don'tcha Mr. Ratty? The sound, style, are very unique, I don't think anyone could reproduce it. I loved the drums, bass jive, all of it. You have an Alesis Drum Machine? Do you happen to have the SR-18? Cause, I just bought last Friday.(Not much of a drum selection on the P1) Maybe every Sunday we should jazz-off?... or have a more appropriate name for it . It would be pretty fun.
  19. That was beautiful man. I really need to get me a G1 now EDIT: and a KP3/+/Mini Kaoss pad
  20. Reached my quota of positive likes for the day? pffffffft! Tomorrow, I'll give you a like. Good job mate. EDIT: 8:47pm CST. "Like" clicked
  21. A little different from the usual. I think your ears will find it satisfying. https://soundcloud.com/yunggoat/saxxiestdelight
  22. Do you have any idea on how much life I wasted trying to figure a way to make it work?! Now I think I'll be in my 50's before I ever have kids. But better in my 50's than 70's-or 80's(Creepy). Thank you very much, Brad.
