  1. Frist off,i know i haven't been as active on this form as most, buy i peek in now and then.

    Too the point:

Had a long time friend who is a real DJ that does a few gig's a week for for drinks (just kiddin he does it for ca$h).

most of his set up is your typical dj turntable with a krog krome as a input- to out.

I showed him one of Ralph's  you tube video and he said that the price looked allright and if the sample time meet's his needs he might take

    a closer look.

He didnt realy like my G1 due to the work flow, but heck im no fan of it as well. but once you get the hang of it, it's not all that bad.

Ralph <-- your not a bad sales person IMO.

Jarvis Cocker of Britpop band PULP, showing how he wrote one of their biggest hits - "Common People" - on his Casio MT500, and also saying how much he loves the little keyboard!

I took a look at the video of this song and if you look at the Keyboard players keyboard. is that a casio?

  3. Name that sound.

I did this on the G1 and used Mike Martin's G1 Live Clinic from 2013 as a guide.

Mike Martin and the XW G1/P1

If you got a good set of headphones?  <-- put them on.

    Name that sound.wav

It's not perfect, but good enough.

Name that sound. Who made it and why. (that's the tricky part)

If you win you will receive 10 fake internet points at a value of $o.oo USD.

That is you? It's excellent. My hat is off! :applause:

Did you multitrack record or is that all simultaneous sounds from the G1?

Yes, it's multi-track using studio one. some of it is the G1 and some i just made up..lol

The thing with the G1 is that you realy need to use it and use it alot never being afraid to play with what you thought

(by the book) will not work or sound bad.--Do it anyway..And add a ton of FX,reverb toss in a few  echo points well--Hell add all of them .:2thu:

If anyone on this form knows about digging deep on the G1 i thank it would be XW-Addict or Brad.

One thing it seems not too may people talk about is a good head set, it's a must have as so you

can hear all the detail's you might want to add or change.

Now im not talking about some wally world headphones or beat's by some rap guy, all they do is mask your sence of music worth witch sometime i need.

I use Audio Technica ATH-M40X as they are a monitor headset and work well for all ranges of music i make and then i go to a more

standard head set like the ones found in the trash bin at work for playback.

  5. Well being that a lot of the Rev2 has part's off the prophet 8 i can see the price point.

Given the build quality dave puts out (knobs and buttons and just overall work flow) i can see why you think so Alen.

Being more of a speciality synthesis, it could be a hard sell with thou s that have an P8 already.

I would love one myself-- great tool.

As a G1 owner, i like it for what it is, but i'm not a big fan of the work flow. but don’t get me wrong if you can do this

on the G1 you can do almost anything.

And how much are we willing to pay?

Good point Brad and i think this is where people fall short. (I  Want it all for cheap, but i Don’t want a cheap Keyboard)

If you do your homework on price to play you will see the M-500 well above in terms of

all around keyboard, less an app for android like casio has for the apple (ios).

Now doing the math, it's hard to get everything packed into a board for at $1,000 usd.

Is it the right board for you? only you know when, why, how and where you play.

    [Side note]

I have had a fun time with my XG1 (was real fun 4th July when i made up a ramp-up/decaying police sound.)

"Hey,kids---some people have work the next day"  . :0

I'll pass, comon, just think when you read this frist line in the Product Description.

    • Weighted Spring Action feel that is heavier than a synth touch but lighter then hammer action.

The only thing that's going to "Spring into 'Action' is you on the phone with you'r bank for a full refund. :o

But it does look close to the 150. it just has 'Springs' in it. :(

O.K just kiddin, but i do think they could have worded that a bit better.

This is the look- alike in 'Action' .

Comes with an End cap aswell, in case you lost the one for you'r 'Blue' pen.(as shown in the Video Product Demonstration.)

Poor Guy, you just have to feel a bit sorry for the lad you know, missing his Pen pal and all

  8. Windows?

    Mac?

    Linex?

Or are you useing a genaric sound driver?

Cubace should work with mac/windows without a problem.

Now, do not take this the wrong way, but have you checked out say :Studio One.(it might load some drivers windows could have inproved on in the frist place)

Give the free ver. a wherrl, and even if you doin't use it the drivers will still work.(I use linex and it cross-platform's over)

Now i have not tested this with windows 10, and i will not.

I hope this help's, even if just a litle bit.  :)

     Best of luck,
