Once more a request of help about this topic.

    I have:

     PX5s linked with MIDI expander

zone 1 MIDI channel 1 to play Piano

zone 2 MIDI channel 2 to play Organ

using the same slider I want select zone 1 or zone 2

to play or Piano or Organ.

    How to do it?

I found a stage setting (midi-4-channel-master)that explain how to switch on\off a zone with a slider but I need to switch 2 zones in the same time with a unique slider

  2. The Behringer FCB1010 is probably the best solution for gigging. Dual expression pedals so you can control 2 zones, up and down switches to change patches plus 10 filly programmable switches that can do anything from pull up favorite stage settings to play notes or even chords.

It should be interesting for all FCB1010 to share the configuration file to control PX5S volume

  3. Thanks Choppin

I solved connecting by MIDI the PX5S to a PCR800 controller that has merge function

     ---------       ---------       ----------

    |  px5s   |---->| PCR800  |---->| expander |

     ---------       ---------       ----------

It is a pity that PX5S do not have a internal merge of MIDI.

  4. Hi from Italy

I connected an expander to MIDI OUT of PX5S.

To increase the available MIDI controllers, I thought to connect a MIDI controller keybord to MIDI IN of PX5S.

I would like to play expander either from external MIDI keyboard either from PX5S: basically I would like to have a MIDI MERGE function.

    Is it possible?

How I have to configure PX5S?

    Merry Christmas and happy 2015.

  5. I had a similar problem before a concert. I was playing a VMachine and here was a lot of noise from output.

The man at mixer told me that the cause is because the "zero" level of USB unite is not referred to ground; he conneced the outer metal shell of USB plug to the ground of a socket with a temporary cable and the noise disappeared.

He told me: it is only to convince you, the right solution is to buy a power supply with zero referrable to ground.

  6. Dear friends

i would like to know if it is possible to set to zero the external input volume for a particular stage setting.

My tipical use of PX5S is

    • as stage piano (tone generator: ON, midi output: OFF)
    • as MIDI controller of external module (tone generator: OFF, midi output: ON)

As my external modules produce a little continous white noise when module is stand by, when I use PX5S as stage piano I would like to zero the external input volume of PX5S  to avoid noise overlapped with PX5S. Is it possible?

One possible workaround is to assign external input volume to a slider/knob for stage settings used as stage piano: it works but I lose a slider/knob...
