  1. This is another tune by my band. My gear:
    - Casio XW-P1 - Solo synth (a patch modifyied by the original Snake Charmin 2-3), drawbar organ, second manual an 88884000 drawbar set for the chords only,rotary slow, no percussion;
    - Kurzweil SP4-7 - a piano + pad setup
    - Clavia nord C2 - Organ solo, with half overdrive, chorus C2, 88880000 drawbar setting, percussion 2nd

This one, like the previous one, is from a demo (almost live), so is not the "official" product,
Any andvice, comment, opinion is Welcome!:):)
    Thank u guys!!!

  2. An extract by our demo "Pazzo", it has been recorded almost totally live, using:

    - Casio Xw-P1 for a synth sound edited by me
    - Nord C2 for the hammond sound

Thank you for your attention: :)  :)

Any advice, opinion, comment in order of sound, recording quality, composition is well accepted

  3. Like Mike Martin said, thje P1 cannot be like a Nord C2 :) !

But, let me tell a funny experience: during the last gig I put my p1 into a guitar amp...I played some hard rock tunes ...and the "output" was amazing, really enjoyed that cruchy overdrive...with an 88880000 set of drawbar! ;)

  4. Sometimes happens in tone mode or performance that the keys of the lowest octave don't play..are mute..last time happened in tone mode while playing a user tone(organ),i changed tone, but provlem peraisted..so switxhed off and restard and was ok...

    Wich is the cause?

  5. Unfortunately, no. From what I understand, the XW needs a lot of processing power for each of the Solo Synth, Hex Layers and Drawbar modes. It can only work with one mode at any one at a time.

Maybe the next generation "XW-P2" will allow simultaneous operation of these modes (hope you are reading this Casio engineers!)

i hope too!! could be great!

  6. Thank u all and sorry for my english!! definetely the 4th knob is for reverb..I know!! :P .

So, the most important, I ve just created 2 interesting piano patch, a grand and a rhodes, modifying the volume (from 105 to 127) and chorus/reverb settings...sound quite good!!!

  7. Hi GuyS!!!

    This is the case:

I'm in TONE mode playing a piano preset, and because I find the piano volume too much low (is that a limitation of the machine?), I switch the fourth knob (presence) at max for having much power.

Then I go playing another preset, for ex. drawbar organ, with the knob still switched, so I come back to the piano, and, despite the knob is still switched at max, the effect is how it was at the initial position (no presence increase).

That's a known limitation or a problem of my synth?

    Thank u all !!!!!

    Carlo

  8. I love prog rock too.. :) and in particular, i love hammond, arp synthyzers and fender rhodes sounds... As you can listen in the "share your music" section, i ve posted a couple of tunes, that reproduce the sound of Arp+Fender Rhodes (with my XW-P1 and a Nord Electro).
wurlitzer has got a warm and cool sound too, with little differences
