    Hi, df,

Yes, some success here with Yamaha Styles converted to MZ-X' Rhythms.  I am enjoying using this feature of my MZ-X500.   I used the posted video tutorial plus pages EN-33 & 34 of Casio MZ-X' Tutorial manual.

Regards converting Korg Styles to MZ-X' Rhythms, no joy as yet, in fact I can't even get the MZ to 'see' the Korg Styles on my thumb drive.  Have also tried loading same file under a different  name, no change.

Still trying without success in converting a SMF  song file (element by element) to a MZ-X' Rhythm. Possibly some essential piece of the jigsaw I am not seeing, but all I am hearing so far is drums. Hoping for a good MZ-X' video tutorial soon on this one.

Any MZ-X owners, please feel free to try this Korg Style for conversion if you can, and please share if successful:

Also, if I can further presume on your collective patience, :)  please try to convert this SMF to MZ-X' Rhythm with this free download:

many thanks and good luck

  2. Yep Thanks for the info ,

But my Laptop ( nearly new) runs under win 10-64bit. The specifications of the samples you discribe meets the specification I have. But if I drag and drop a .wav file into the area of the keybed from the software nothing happends. Sometimes I get a message if I use a very log WAV file like a song or so  'your file is to long" but that is the only thing the manager does..

If I take a short .WAV file nothing happens also not after reinstalling the sample manager again.

I know it is very stupid but i am looking as hell to find this trouble and can't find out why?

The only thing I do not understand is max nymber of files ; does they mean max 128 .WAV files converting in one time or 128 sectors or bits or whatever.?

(By the way I am try to convert only 1 sample at a time).

Can it be thet I have trouble with hardware recognition?? Can anyone please to try to convert a sample without connecting the MZ-X500 to the computer , would be interesting for me.

    Thanks,

    John

  3. Hi,

I have download and installed the sample Mangaer for the MX-Z500 on my win PC.

As I have understooth , should the MZ-X500 be capable to load WAV files trough converting over the sample manager/

But : if I on my PC open the sample manager and drag/drop a wav file into the Key Velocity pallete as discribe in the manual ; nothing happends.

If I hit the button open ; a pop up screen opened and here it is only possible to load the .ztn file.

Can anyone be more specific how to get from a WAV file a MZ-X500 file ??

    Thanks

  4. Hi Silvano,

I've just bought this Keybord X500 , but in the sample manager , you have wave convert , and then "open "

The sample manager asking then for a file .ztn, buth I tought that the sample manager convert standard wav files to casio mz-x format.

How can I convert the WAV files into casio format ??

  5. Hello,

I am a new owner of an Casio XW-G1 and wondering if I can files made for the XW-P1 can use in my G1.

For exsample : a ZSY file or whatever which is made for the P1 , is this readable also in my G1 ??

Who have a list with the meaning of all the file extensions for this Casio XW machines or who know where I can download this.??

    Thanks,
