  1. Thanks Bradmz--Actually, this won't work (I don't think)--I'm trying to put a cymbal sound on many different chords in a piece I'm playing--I found the sound and the key that sounds it, but I don't know how to transfer the tone from the kit to the notes in the zone in question.  Could you help me please?

  2. Hello-Can someone tell me if it is possible to use a single tone (i.e. a ride cymbal) from a drum set, and put it into a  zone of a stage setting that I am creating without using the whole drum kit....If so, how would I do this?  Thanks so much.

  3. Hello casio community--This may seem like a dumb question, but can you use a downloaded stage setting as part of a layered stage setting--i'e if you download a specific rhodes sound, it will go to a specific stage setting location--can you then incorporate other sounds on top of it, in different zones, and modify all (spilt location, volumes, effects, etc.) as you would when using a tone from the pre-loaded bunch?  Thanks

  4. BardMZ--I'm REALLY sorry--but I don't know what you mean...When I'm in the stage setting, I can't pull up the arpeggio..How do I incorporate the arpeggio into the stage setting. Please help me complete my project--I'm so close to a great product.  THANKS!!

  5. Thanks Brad--But I'm still having a problem.  I pull up the stage setting I want to apply this to, then I pull up the instrument I would like to this to--then I write the new arpeggio and rename it and it sounds great.  But when I go back to pull it up, it is gone!!! How do I save this arpeggio to use with this stage setting and not have it erased??  HELP!

  6. Hello-can someone tell me if its possible to split the keyboard and have an arpeggio assigned to the top half tone and have the bottom half assigned to a tone without arpeggio?? Thanks--this would be a great asset to a new stage setting I am creating!!

  7. Thanks Scott-- Now that I've written my arpeggio, can I use it in one zone, for one tone in a stage setup, where the arpeggio will be in zone one in the upper register, and the keyboard will be split to allow a different, non-arpeggio'd tone to be played in the left hand in the lower register in zone two of the stage set-up??  When i put the arpeggiator on in the common edit, it arpegiates every key, and thus, evcery instrument.  Thanks for your help!

  8. Hello--I'm trying to write a 4 note arpeggio, different from the ones that are pre-recorded.  The manual is confusing, as to how to edit (or create) my new arpeggio.  Can someone please instruct me how to do this, please? I know I want 4 different notes repeated and I can get to the step edit, but the type (L1-8) and note choice is confusing.  Thanks..

  9. Hi Andre--I'm very particular about my piano samples, so here goes....For me the most accurate piano samples i like are: G RandPnoModern (Bank 03); and PA concert grand that can be downloaded from this website, along with Max Piano ,too--for bright piano the Grand pnobright (Bank 06) certainly is bright. For Eps- I like 60's E. piano (025); DynoEpiano (013) and EPiano (009)--For organ, Jazz organ1(03), and I like rock organ (00)....I hope this helps.  You can also scroll through the sounds yourself and pick out your favs--there are many.

  10. Hello to all--Although my discovery will probably be 'elementary' to those experts out there, I felt compelled to share it with the community. I don't record, or write--I'm simply a player in a band.  I'm the utility guy, who plays all the keyboards, strings, brass, winds etc. I'm certainly no Keith Emerson by a long shot, but I get by.  My rig consists of the px attached by midi to a Hammond sk-1; both running stereo via an AB box and out to right and left amps. This allowed me to play piano, and by stepping on the AB box in real time during the song, access one of the extra voices (ie brass, flute, etc.) from the Sk-1, and with another step on the AB box, back to the px. This allows me to play a song with several different instruments throughout, however, is very taxing because I had to step on the AB box at just the right time and have all of the instruments set correctly before the song.  Enter the px--By learning how to split the keyboard, at the right spot, I can now play, let's say, piano on the lower half and (lets say) french horn on the upper half (or even more complicated, a layer of piano and strings in the right hand) by writing the stage settings with the proper locations, volumes and even octave changes. I know I've been critical of the piano sounds on the keyboard (which I still don't love), the OS and functionality are nothing short of amazing. Kudos Casio--and thanks to the whole forum community!!

  11. Hey Choppin--I agreee whole heartedly with you.  For information purposes, I am hearing Aron's and BRADMZ's playing through my computer, and it sounds awesome. I am playing my px through 2 M-audio bx-5 speakers in stereo, and can't reproduce what I;m hearing over the internet. So, check this experiment out, speaking of different sounds: I recorded my px-5 with a sure mic in front of my speakers, into a tascam digital recorder.....and burned a cd from that recording. I then played the cd back on a a player, and compared it to what I was hearing live through the speakers----and the 2 sounds were not the same!! (something similar to hearing Aron and BRad's recordings over my computer and those not being the same of what I hear live--Explain thaT, if you can......
